Kago just stood there and let the flame burn, knowing it wouldn't do a thing.
"That reminds me, we should check about this ability. Wonder if this book has an index..." Kago said, flipping to the back of the book

Midori coughed at the onslaught of dust. She covered her mouth and whipped her hand back nad forth to get it away from her.

"Sorry, my bad. I'll watch for that next time." Kago promised. He kept flipping, but hit nothing when he reached the end. He did notice, though, that a good amount of pages in the back had been ripped out.

"Nothing...in fact, look. There are about 20 pages that all got ripped out. Do you think there's something we're not SUPPOSED to know in here?" Kago asked, half knowing the answer

"I dunno," Midori answered, "Actually...hold on!"
She jumped off the table and ran out the doors of the library. Coming back a few minutes later with another pair of charred shoes and a book.

Kago looked at the book Midori had gone and gotten, confused what it was.
"What's that thing? It have to do with this book?" he asked

"It's acutally pretty neat," Midori laughed, "Apperantly my older brother Shiro was turned into a book by the same witch that killed off my family."
"I'm right here you know Midori," the book said.

"Wont work," Midori laughed, "he's flame retardent."
"More like just retarded." Shiro muttered.

Kago grimaced at the book, obviously annoyed by Midori's brother.

"I'm plenty nice kid," Shiro said, "Shesh Yukai these days."
Midori laughed slightly, her brother seemed to love picking fights.

Kago highly doubted that this guy was as nice as he made himself out, but decided to keep his mouth shut.
"You know the Yukai? And you know I'M a Yukai?" he asked the book, not exactly sure where his face was.

Midori smiled and took her brother from Kago, "He's a bit of a hard head but he's family."

"Okay, then mind telling me what you know? This other book here has some info but its missing some pages." Kago asked, simply looking at the cover of the book.
