Through the Fire and Flames: Truth of the Yukai

[Kago Yukai]

(OOC: obscure jokes FTW! This is for Kago and Midori, as it has to do with their partnership and Kago's family history)

Kago was standing by the door of the library, waiting for his partner Midori. They were finally going to look into this flame retardent thing Kago could do after school, and the library was obviously the best place to do so. Since it'd been a while since the time they'd decided on, Kago was getting bored. He leaned against the nearest wall and crossed his arms, looking up at the ceiling.

[Blue Star]

Midori ran up without her shoes on. She tended to burn threw shoes pretty fast since they where the only thing she couldn't make flame resistant. She ran up to Kago and smile, "Hey!"

[Soul]

Kago looked down at his partner and smiled back. He smelt smoke, and reflexively looked down at Midori's feet, since her hair didn't look to be on fire. Sure enough, her shoes had been torched.
"Shoes lit up again?" he asked, already knowing the answer

[Blue Star]

"Umm," Midori said with a laugh, she held her index finger and thumb close together, "Maybe just a little."
She wiggled her toes and smiled lightly.

[Soul]

Kago laughed and smiled at Midori as he pulled himself off the wall.
"Well, let's hope the library doesn'tuse the no shirt no shoes idea. Otherwise, we can't figure this thing out just yet." he said

[Blue Star]

"Yeah sorry," Midori said with a smile, "I don't mean for it to happen."
She laughed slightly.

[Soul]

"I know, it's no big deal. Must cost a ton for getting new ones though. You should see if someone like Stein can create you some flame resistant shoes themselves." Kago suggested

[Blue Star]

"I'll look into that," Midori said with a smile. She opened the doors to the library.

[Soul]

Kago walked into the library and gaped at its size. It was huge, so huge he had to squint in order to see the farthest back shelves.
"Whoa, this is awesome!" he said in amazement

[Blue Star]

"We're bound to find something on you're family here," Midori said with a smile.
She looked around and tried to place where they might find something.

[Soul]

Kago looked for anything under 'Y' for Yukai clan, but didn't find a thing in the hour it took to look through that section. He couldn't call up his parents, they died when he was at a young age. So without any leads from his clan name, he wasn't sure where exactly to search.
"Well now what, my clan isn't in here. Nothing on Yukai at all." he said, ready to give up

[Blue Star]

"What about checking under flame resistance?" Midori asked looking up from her spot. She got up and headed for the "F" section.

[Soul]

"That could do it...nice thinking Midori." Kago said as he followed her over to the 'F' section. This section could have potential for what they needed.

[Maka]

"Kago," Midori asked looking over at him, "What happened to your parents?"
He'd never really told her anything about his family.

[Soul]

Kago's usual smile disappeared, and he instantly saddened. He hated talking about it, he preferred to just forget about it.
"I, uh, don't wanna talk about it." he said quietly
