"Really...? Huh," Sari tilted her head. That sounded aaaawfully familiar. But this was a lamb. A lamb from Canaan. Not outer-space. She slapped her hands onto her cheeks in the most horribly contrived way possible, and gasped. "....maybe he's a ROBOT!" she said, obviously joking.

Joseph laughed. Shaking his head, he ripped up a tuff of grass to feed to Esau. "Stranger things have happened," Joseph smiled, going along with her joke. Esau blinked up at the two humans. He obviously had not caught on. Joseph smirked to the sheep. "I don't know, I don't know any robots that eat like this little guy does." Not that actually knew any robots...

Sari smirked. "You'd be surprised," unintentionally making an allusion to herself. "...wow, he must have been really hungry," she remarked, watching the lamb continue to eat.

"It's no surprise. He's been cooped up in my room all morning, and all of last night," Joseoh said, frowning a little to himself. Back in Canaan, Esau had been free to run around and eat whenever he wanted. After a few more minutes, Esau walked, or rather, waddled back up to Joseph, apparently full. Taking the sheep into his arms, Joseph smiled, standing back up. "Well, at least you're full now. Maybe now you'll stop trying to eat my shirt," he smirked.

"Poor guy," Sari frowned, looking at Esau. "If they let you bring him to school, they should at least have proper food for him. I mean, you shouldn't have to come out into the courtyard just to get him something to eat."

Joseph bit his lip. "Well, actually...they didn't exactly 'let me' bring him. The truth is, no one really knows that he's here. I have to hide him in my room." He admitted sheepishly. Joseph didn't think that Sari was a snitch, but he still felt a bit self-concious about telling her that he had to sneak Esau in.

Sari had to clasp a hand over her mouth to keep from laughing. "Dude. NICE." She didn't think Joseph was the kind of guy to break any rules, so this was a pleasant surprise. "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. I'm pro at keeping secrets." Boy, if that ain't the truth...

Joseph smirked, laughing a little at her response. "Thanks," he replied, still grinning. "You know, you're a lot different than most of the girls I know. But in a good way," he added, not wanted to sound offensive.

Sari's smile widened. "Well, that's good. I'd say the same to you, but... I don't really know any human guys to compare you to," she awkwardly scratched the back of her head, laughing uneasily. Now showing: Sari Sumdac, master of conversation.

Joseph could only grin. Was she strange? Yes. Different? Yes. A good friend?...Most definitely. Looking back down at his arms, he noticed that Esau was asleep. Shaking his head slightly, he looked back up at Sari. "Well, I'd better get this guy back to my dorm. But it was nice meeting you!" He smiled a bit reluctantly, sad that he had to go.

"Nice meeting you too." She was disappointed that she had to say goodbye to her new friend, but she was pretty sure she'd see him again. "See ya around!"

"Bye!" He called over his shoulder with a wave, walking off towards the Thunderhoof dorms. Well, this had certainly been an interesting morning. He hoped that he would get a chance to talk with Sari again. But for now, he needed to get Esau to bed.

Taylor was bored as heck that day, having some kind of free period, since the Warden was too busy to teach his class. However, that also meant that Bob had to tag along with him to SuperJail, leaving the girl all alone. And Clopin wasn't much of an option either, seeing that he was in a class at the moment. She sighed as she sat down on one of the outside benches in the courtyard. "Hopefully, someone interesting will come by." Taylor said to herself.

Walking along further across the courtyard, Joseph was careful so as not to shake Esau too much when he walked. The little lamb appeared to be having pleasant dreams, and, well, Joseph was not one to interrupt someone's dreaming. Passing by one of the wooden benches on the lawn, he glanced towards a girl who was resting on one. She was kinda cute, with her long brown hair that seemed to stick up at the top. Blushing slightly, Joseph couldn't help but stare as he neared the bench. Deciding to wait here instead of returning to his dorm, he headed over to her, hoping that she wouldn't mind if her joined her. "Um, excuse me, is that seat taken?" He smiled shyly, pointing to the place on the bench beside her.

"What? Oh...um..no." Taylor said, as she was knocked out of her musing by the sound of the new kid's voice. She really had to stop thinking about things so deeply, or else time would just slip away. She tilted her head a bit at Joseph, and smiled. "That lamb of yours is pretty cute. Has he got a name?" Taylor asked.
