Where is he? Joseph Kingston though frantically to himself as he ran around the courtyard, searching high and low for any sign of his little lamb. Esau, what trouble have you gotten into now? He had to have looked pretty foolish, rushing around the way he was. But he was too preoccupied with locating his lost pet at the moment to care. He prayed that a teacher wouldn't find him first. Joseph doubted highly that a teacher would willingly hand him back over. Stopping to catch his breath, he leaned against a large oak tree that stood at the edge of the courtyard. Maybe someone would come by and help him look. "Esau, where are you?"

Sari paused her iPod when she noticed a guy in a colorful coat running around the courtyard. What was he doing...? It seemed as though he was looking for something, but she didn't want to assume anything. It was only when he stopped to rest by a tree did Sari get up and make her way over to him. "You seem a liiiittle tired there, dude," she smiled, tilting her head and placing her hands on her hips simultaneously. "What's got you running around like a crazy person?"

Joseph looked up at the sound of a female voice. His stomach instantly dropped to his knees, and his face pinkened. Girls always made him nervous. Especially when they caught him doing something stupid. "Um, hi," he stuttered, looking up at her. She wasn't very tall, but she seemed friendly enough. "Er, I lost my lamb," he smiled sheepishly. "My pet lamb, that is. He's...have you seen him?" He asked, shaking his head. Smooth move, Joseph. Babble like an idiot. Even if she does know where he is, she probably won't tell you now.

Sari stood up a little straighter and glanced around, not noticing the boy's sudden change in skin-tone. A... a lamb? Well, that was an unusual pet. Then again, she was from the 22nd century, where robots were a normal part of everyday life. So maybe a lamb as a pet wasn't too out of the ordinary. "Uh.. nope, I haven't seen him, sorry," she scratched the back of her head. "Are you sure he's in the courtyard? Where did you last see him?"

"Um, I think it was in the dining hall," Joseph stood up, having caught his breath. "He got out of my sight when I was eating about half an hour ago, and I've been searching for him since." Joseph sighed, glancing around once again. "I thought he might have come out here, since this is his favorite place to be." Esau usually came out here in the morning for some fresh air, as there was plenty of room to run around and plenty of grass to eat.

Sari placed a finger to her chin as she scanned the area once more. "Well, I don't think we're gonna find him just standing around like this. Be right back," with that, she darted off, and when she returned, she had her scooter. "I'm guessing you haven't had a chance to search for him from the air, right?" she grinned, and pressed a button in between the handlebars. Almost like magic, the scooter jumbled up and transformed into a jet-pack. Sari picked it up and strapped it to her back. She wasn't used to wearing it while not in robot mode, but hey, it still worked.
"I'll do the flying while you do the searching," she said everything so confidently, like this plan was the most amazing thing ever and there was no possible way it could fail. She then held out her arms, smile ever-present on her face. "Here, I can carry you!"
(See Sari, this is why your only friends are robots.)

Joseph's eyes widened at the sight of the scooter. He had never seen anything like it before. And it...flew? Joseph shook his head. There were strange things at this school indeed. He blinked at her plan, staring at her arms incredulously. "You...carry me?" He asked with a little laugh. However, he didn't want to offend her, though he wasn't sure if she would be able to carry his taller frame. "Well, alright, if you're sure..." He jumped up awkwardly into her grasp, blushing slightly as he had before. All this to find a little sheep...

Sari hooked her arms under his as she began to take off. "I'm stronger than I look, you know," she said, frowning. With that, she began to gain altitude until they had a good 15 feet off the ground. She had to admit, he was a liiiittle heavier than she anticipated, but she somehow managed. Why didn't I do this in bot mode...? she asked herself as they passed the top of the oak tree. She began to slowly spin around, so he could get a good look at the entire area. "See anything?" she asked, trying as hard as she could to mask the strain in her voice.

Glancing down at the ground, Joseph tried to control the beating of his heart as they rose higher and higher above the ground. Let's see, he thought to himself, looking around. Tree, rocks, bush...wait! "Down there!" He pointed, spotting a little ball of white a few yards away. "I think that's him!"

Sari followed his hand towards where he was pointing, and sure enough, there was something sheep-like standing out against the green surroundings. "Aha!" she said with a smirk, and began to quickly descend towards the ball of white, slowing down just in time for the two to land safely and quietly.

Joseph hopped down from the scooter, quietly sneaking up behind the little blob of white. "Gotcha!" He said, lunging after the little animal. Esau cried out in surprise, then grew excited when he saw that it was Joseph. "There you are, Esau!" Joseph sighed, pulling the lamb into a hug. "Don't you ever scare me like that again!" He scolded, frowning. Turning back to Sari, he smiled. "Thanks so much for helping me find him, uh...sorry what was your name?"

Sari couldn't help but grin at the reuniting of boy and lamb. "Don't mention it, its what I do," she shrugged her shoulders, trying to act as 'humble' as possible. Sari? Humble? Haha. Best joke ever. "I'm Sari. What's your name?"

"Joseph," he smiled. "Joseph Kingston. And this little guy here," he grinned, standing with the lamb in his arms. "Is Esau. It's a pleasure to meet you." Joseph smiled down at the lamb, rubbing the soft fur beneath his chin. He had had him for a little over a year now, and he was starting to grow a little heavy. Esau was the only reminder he had, besides his coat, of his old life. He couldn't bear to think what he would do if he had lost him today.

"Well, its nice to meet you too, Joseph." Sari smiled, and went to pet Esau on the head. "Nice to meet you too, Esau." Sari had never interacted much with animals, but she still loved them. They were so much different from robots. She looked back up at Joseph. "Glad I could help you find him."

Esau bahhed happily at Sari's touch. Joseph blinked in surprise. "Weird. He's never done that before. Usually he doesn't like meeting new people," Joseph gave a little laugh. This girl was...different from most of the one's Joseph had encountered. For one thing, she didn't seem to be constantly absorbed with her looks or what Joseph thought about her. She was more independent. And she seemed like a good friend.
