The Common Room

Ino had taken out a few clothes, only a few ones that she had brought that seemed to fit things better now. She would go shopping later. There had to be a place to go for clothes around here somewhere. Putting her clothes on hangers and in her closet she shut the door to take out her own make-up and other stuff. She placed them on her dresser.

Wondering to herself, if she believed her own words, Home? Would it ever be home? At least here she would try to be powerful, rather than waste time on missions back in the Leaf Village.

[Sakura]

After fidgeting with her bedspread--and making sure it was as neat and crease-free as possible--Sakura sat down on it, running a hand through her dark hair, and sighed. Why....why did she have to be here? Why must she attend high school? She was already very bright! And already very well educated! Just because she'd learned....different things than most kids her age, didn't mean she was "deprived."

"Hey, Ino." She said suddenly, her voice tired but still bordering on curious, "why'd you come here, huh?"

Ino turned to Sakura. "Why did i come here? I suppose i wanted to get a better life, try something new." she said. "Back home, everyone was great at something, and what did i have? Healing? Mind-tranfer jutsu techinques? Those wouldn't get me anywhere. I came here looking for a way to get better."

[Sakura]

Konoha? That name....that name sounded familiar....

"So....you know some....interesting jutsu yourself, then, huh." Sakura stated--for it really WAS more of a statement than a question. "I bet that will....serve you well here; mind transfer and all."

[inoyamanaka]

Ino smirked. "Yeah, i can cheat on tests." she laughed a tiny laugh. "I know that there might be chance i can get far with those techinques but...i want to learn something more, something different. Something so dark that no one would be able to believe that i learned it." she sounded too excited for her own good, she regained herself as quickly as she could.

"So...why are you here?" she asked. "I mean if you don't mind me asking."

[Sakura]

Dark? This blond-haired, blue-eyed girl wanted to be DARK? Oh ho ho Sakura could do dark. She could do dark better than anyone!

Chuckling to herself, Sakura then adressed the girl's next question, and her smile faded instantly. "I'm here because I don't have a choice." She stated simply, coldly, curling her hands into fists in her lap. "The Feds ripped me from my home, my father....my life because they just couldn't mind their own damn business, and stuck me in here!"

Ino looked shocked by the girl's last response. She didn't know what to say. "....I'm sorry..." she said. "That must have been horrible for you." Ino turned her gaze back to her bag as she dumped the rest of the stuff on the floor to sort through.

[Sakura]

"It....it was." She admitted bitterly, directing her gaze out the window now. Oh how she wished she could turn back time! Turn it back and fix it so that she'd never have had to come here! Never have had to been taken away from her father....

"Hey, Ino....can you keep a secret?"

Ino looked up from her stuff. She was going to answer but figured it was best to have Sakura talk, she looked like she needed to talk more than Ino did. She gave a tiny nod as if to say yes. The girl continued to pick up her stuff and shove stuff she didn't need under her bed

[Sakura]

She didn't know why she was doing it--she never bothered to get to know people before, much less share ANY sort of personal information with them--but slowly, cautiously, Sakura found herself saying "what if I told you....that I'm not planning to stay here? That....I only agreed to go here until I can find a way to spring my dad from jail? What would you say to that?"

She hoped the other girl wouldn't reject the idea entirely....if she did...well....Sakura DID knew a few memory-wiping techniques....they just tended to get....very messy.

Ino looked up at Sakura for a long time not saying anything. She just stared at her for a moment or two before looking down at a photo on the floor, it was only a few more minutes before answering. "....We are....all here for different reasons. You are here for your reasons. If your reason is to spring your father from jail its your choice, don't let me stop you." she gave a tiny smile. "I am not going to tell...."

[Sakura]

"I should hope not." Sakura replied, perhaps harsher than she'd intended. Realizing this, she appologized lightly, before adding...."You know....mind jutsu might....come in handy....with what I've got planned....that is" she paused. "if you don't mind lending me your skills every so often. I can make it worth your while, too." She added, albeit hesitantly, hoping the other girl would consent to her idea.

Ino looked up at Sakura. "You mean it?" she asked. She was about to ask for what reason that Sakura needed her jutsu. "I suppose so. We are housemates after all we are supposed to help each other."

[Sakura]

A dark, twisted grin snaked its way across Sakura's face. "I do mean it. You lend me your unique jutsu, and I'll teach you something so dark NO one will DARE mess with you for fear of their life."

Ino gave a wicked smirk. "That's the kind of power i want." she said. This girl, this Sakura was speaking her language.
