Kai shivered at the thought of his dreams and his grandparents. "I'm sure everythings gonna be okay..." he hoped at least.

Kai sighed. That didn't help his feelings. "something wierd always happens." the bus arrived at school and Kai and Dylan got out.
"hey KAI-baby!" the bullies laughed.
Kai tried to ignore them but he almost started to cry. Maybe he really was Kai-baby. He got bullied everyday.

"Hey! Lay off him guys, Okay?" Dylan balled his hand into a fist and held in up to them.
"Don't pay any attention to them, okay?" he told his brother.

Kai looked at his feet. "how can I not. I hate having different classes than you. I get bullied the worst in those classes." he sighed. He just wanted to be like everyone else.

"I'm sorry. If I could choose to be in all your classes, you know I would" he smiled a bit. At least neither of them were in honors. There stupid dyslexia prevented them from that!

"yeah. I hate all my classes! We are both smart, really smart but we can't read! So that keeps us from doing good in school!" Kai kicked a pine cone across the school yard. That's where all the kids hung out in the mornings.

Kai sighed. "mom and dad said we have it because we are different. That still bothers me because they say they also have it because they are different.... I feel like there's a big part of our lives that they are hiding from us..." Kai wondered.

"I don't know... They both went to college! Mom got a degree in history and architechture, and dad got a degree in history and ocean studies or whatever that class was! So I guess it's possible for us to pass school. I mean we just have to figure out something!" Kai smushed another pine cone and kicked it as hard as he could.

Kai sighed. "I don't know. They wont tell us anything! They are keeping some big secret from us. Appearently, we aren't old enough to know yet." he said.
