((I wasn't sure if this should be here or in the Au section...))
Dylan was a bit grumpy as he sat down at the kitchen table. His mom, Annabeth, and dad, Percy had called another family meeting that both he and Kai would have to attend. It would probably be something boring like school or clothes or something of that sort. "Okay, we're here, what did you want to tell us?" he asked. He saw his mother smile at his father. What he didn't know she was smiling about giving them a pen/sword and an invisibility cap.

kai groaned and laid his head on the table. he looked at his brother and mouthed, 'i wonder what they are up to now!' he sat up and said, "mom, please tell me this isnt another ancient greek lesson! that language is boring! isnt englis enough!?"

She smiled. "Greek is very useful sweetie. You'll figure that out when your older." she laughed. "Actually, me and your father have presents for you." She handed Kai the invisibility cap, and Percy handed Dylan Riptide.
"A pen and a... hat! What good can that do us?" said Dylan, slightly annoyed.
"Oh Dylan, It's more than just a hat and a pen" she smiled then let Percy explain further.

"a yankees cap!? mom the yankees suck!" kai laughed. he put on the cap not noticing he was invisible. "uhhh thanks guys..." he said.
his dad percy smirked. "oh and kai, you might need this to..." he handed kai annabeths old dagger.
"a knife?! what do you expect me to do with this!" kai looked at dylan.

"Kai! Your invisible!" he exclaimed. "So he gets a knife and a cap that turns him invisible! And I get this lousey pen you probably got for free! I always knew you guys played favorites" he put his head on his chin and rested on it.

"what! i am invisible! sweet! wait, but how!?" kai was a little freaked out. "dylan, maybe your pen writes cool or something!" he said trying to cheer up his twin.

"now boys, these items are for emergencies only! and trust me, you will need them soon enough!" percy said nervously. he didnt want his sons attacked by monsters. he wished they could have normal safe lives.

"Probably doesn't..." he said throwing the pen over his shoulder. But how is he invisible anyway? And how on earth did you find a cap like that?!"
"My mother gave it to me, and now you get it" she smiled.
"How come we can never meet grandma, or grandpa! On either side of you guys?!"
"You'll see them soon enough" she giggled.

"im so confused!" kai took off his hat. "how come we have met moms dad, and dads mom, but never dads dad, or moms mom! wow that is a tounge twister!"

"Umm.. okay?" he said slightly confused. "But what if I loose it? Or it falls out of my pocket?" he asked. When they were done he would take Kai to his room and uncap it. Now he had to know what would happen when it was uncapped. If Kai could turn invisible, then what could this pen do?

"it reappears in your pocket. I know this is all very confusing, but you won't be confused for long! Meeting dismissed!" percy walked into his office and annabeth walked into the kitchen to start dinner.

"How about you to go play or something. I'll call you when dinner's ready" said Annabeth.
"Come on Kai, lets go upstairs" he walked up the steps pulling kai up by the arm. He got into his room and saw his stuft turtle, Dasher lying on his bed. He uncapped the pen. And out popped a sword!

"whoa! Now that's cool!" Kai said admiring the sword. "mom and dad are hiding something from us Dylan. Something big!" Kai looked under his bed and pulled put his sketch book. Kai loved to draw.

"Well, I would think so! Since when do I get this sword! and why can you turn invisible! and then there's our mom's mom and our dad's dad! I just don't get it! Can't they tell us?" he plopped on his ben, grabbed a dart and threw it at the dart board and got a bullseye. He was always good at it. Probably because his mom was good at archery, but he didn't know that.

"hmmmmm.... A mystery... Dylan, we have to get in dads office! He is hiding something in there! Clues! And why is mom always talking about Greek stuff!?" Kai scribbled a few pictures. He wasn't in the mood to draw.

"I don't know! When should we sneek in? I think dad's in there now. Maybe we could eat dinner really fast and then sneak in while there finishing?" he suggested.
He really wanted to figure out what was happening. His life just got alot more interesting.
