Joseph stared at the couple as the left, shaking his head slightly. Love was definitely something that he would never understand. "Hey, pretty boy, mind getting your head out of the clouds and finishing your job?" One of the bartenders spoke gruffly to him, shoving a mop into the boy's hands. Joseph scowled after the man, working the mop furiously across the floor. He was only glad that Taylor couldn't see him like this, having to work in a dirty bar with blinking neon signs and tone deaf karaoke takers. Shaking his head, he wiped a hand across his brow, continuing to scrub the mop quickly.

"If I got tattoos, you can get me a drink." Jack spat at the barkeep. Nice way to make new friends, wasn't it? She wasn't the friendliest person, and she was going to keep it that way. Outside of school where she wore other things besides her uniforms. Outside of school was where she loved to be.

Maka walked in after a bit. She'd just gotten a job as a waitress at the bar and wasn't use to her uniform. The tight black tee with the bar's logo and jean shorts, why she had gotten a job here she was starting to question.

((ooc: Um, I thought that Maka just left to go with Hanna...unless you meant to say Midori?)) Joseph blinked at the girl who had just sat down. He hadn't ever seen anyone quite like her before. In truth, she was a bit...frightening to the boy. Shaking his head, he returned to his mopping, not wanting to seem rude by staring. "Hey, kid," the bartender spoke roughly to Joseph, ignoring the girl at the bar. "My shift's done, so get 'ur tail over here and serve this lady." "But I--" Joseph was cut off by the man roughly pushing him aside, and with a frown, went and stood behind the bar. Looking up at the woman nervously, he asked, "Wh-What'll it be?"

Obviously this boy wasn't used to seeing anyone like Jack. Then again, that was what most people here thought of her. She didn't blame them if they thought she was frightening either. "Thank God someone here had to take my order. Just surprise me with something, got it?" she told Joseph. "I haven't had anything like a drink in forever, anything would do."

Joseph nodded quickly, turning around to the many different bottles that lined the wall behind him. He pulled out a random bottle, praying that it would do. Pouring it nervously into a glass, he frowned as he spilled a little, and nearly broke the glass as he reached over to grab a rag. When at last he got everything under control, he handed it over to Jack, feeling his face burn with embarrassment as he did.

((ooc: might as well bring her back. Maybe its a different time . )) Maka smiled slightly and went over to help the guy out, "Go ahead and finnish what you where doing. The bar keeper doesn't need to know."

"It's not a circus act or anything you know." Jack said as she took the drink. A taste ran down her throat as she ingested the liquid, turning back to Joseph. "Not bad, boy. I guess I'll spare you a tip." Of course, Jack had stolen this money when she got here, before high school, but nobody had to know that as she handed Joseph some money.

((ooc: Oh okay that works ;D)) Joseph blushed, still embarrassed at his little blunder. Staring cautiously at the money in her hand, he hesitantly took it. It wasn't that he was really scared of her or anything...okay, maybe just a litte. Joseph had just been raised not to take money from women. But he had a feeling that this girl might be offended if he said something like that, so he took the money with a small smile. "Th-Thank you, m'am," he said, awkwardly shoving it into his pocket. He'd probably give it to someone else later, or put it in the cash register. Smiling gratefully to Maka, he left from his place behind the bar, heading back to finish moping.

Maka went to drying off a glass and pouring the coustomers whatever they asked for, even though some of them where ones she'd never heard of before.

"Yeah, don't mention it." Jack said as she watched Joseph go away. She raised the glass to her lips. Been quite some time, hasn't it? Been some time since I've had anything like this. It certainly hasn't been some time since someone acted like that around me though. Jack thought to herself. She was getting used to being intimidating though. She looked so strange to these people. Then again, that wasn't really anything new.

"Nah, I don't need anything else." Jack said as she glanced over at Maka. Odd. The girl didn't show fear. Maybe there was someone worse then Jack, or she didn't think Jack would kill her. Either way, it didn't bother the human biotic. She didn't care what people thought of her as long as they didn't put her in jail.

Claudio walked in after a rather disturbing session with L, wishing he was old enough to drink. He sat down at the bar and sulked, hoping to be left alone.
