Puck frowned uncertainly to himself as they walked, leaning a bit closer to Clopin as the other boy put his arm around him. Too many things had happened today, and Puck didn't know what to make of them. Firstly, he'd found out that he was a fae, and secondly, he'd managed to kill one of his best friends. At least they'd managed to bring her back...and they'd also found the criminal responsible for making him lose his temper.
Temper. That was something that he definitely needed to work on. He'd never realized just how high strung he was until now...it was a little much, now that he thought about it.
Glancing at Clopin, the teen sighed, the corner of his mouth pulling up just a little. "Why do you put up with me?"

"Why do I put up with you?" Clopin asked with a laugh, as he continued to walk out towards the courtyard. "Puck, I put up with you because you have the temper to put up with my antics as well. And secondly, it's because life wouldn't be the same if I didn't have you. Simple." the gypsy reflected.
And it was true. Even though today had been sort of a reckoning day for Puck, Clopin had been able to put up with the fae ever since they had come together. And all that Clopin wanted now was a bit of peace for the both of them, because he was certain that they both needed it after the stress of the day.

Puck smiled faintly at the other as they reached the familiar tree, sighing a little as they walked towards it. It was a tired sigh, one that revealed a bit of how the other had felt lately. Taking a seat beneath its large branches, Puck leaned against the trunk of the tree, closing his eyes for a moment as he looked up towards the sky.
"All around me are familiar faces..." he murmured, smirking a little as he remembered the lines to a particularly depressing song. "God, I'm so melodramatic. It's been...quite a day. Quite a day..."

"Indeed. Puck, listen to me. I can assure you that Taylor is doing just fine. She's got a very strong spirit, and if her past life didn't kill her before, I'm very sure she can survive whatever happened a while ago." Clopin said. "That's what the Warden trained her for, remember?" Clopin said.

"I suppose you're right. Again," Puck sighed, pulling his knees up to his chin. He frowned, deep in thought. "I feel like I should be...content now, now that she's alright and everything, but...I just don't know."
Puck sighed, balling his hands into fists to rest his chin on them. "I just feel like I don't have any control. Over my temper, over my magic, over myself," Puck said, thoroughly confused with himself.

Clopin sighed as he looked up to the sky as well. He opened his mouth to speak, but paused before saying anything. What Puck had said required some thinking as to what he would reply. While he too had been thoroughly shocked by Taylor's supposed death, he wasn't as affected as Puck was, being the one who nearly killed her. But if he couldn't handle his powers, what would that mean? "Do you...think we should have Bob take our magic back?" Clopin asked, knowing full well the true reason as to why Bob had given them powers. "But maybe that is why we were given powers in the first place. To learn how to control them responsibly." Clopin mused.

Puck was a bit startled by the question. It wasn't like he was exactly "jumping" to start using them again, but...he'd grown somewhat attached to them, as it were. And they could be useful, if controlled properly. The problem he had to face now was just how he was to learn to control them.
"I believe that you're right. I...I know that I can handle them...it'll just take some time," Puck sighed. "And, it seems like I've got plenty of people to help teach me now. There's Jareth, a new girl I met a few days ago...and it wouldn't hurt for me to take a few lessons of patience from you," he smiled, glancing up at the other for a moment.
Stretching his arms back, Puck sighed, reflecting on what he'd just said. "I think I remember promising to tell you something earlier...about how I first met Vriska? You seemed a bit surprised by what I'd said, anyway."

"Patience is a virtue, Puck." Clopin said with a laugh. "And yes, you did promise to tell me about how you first ran into that little she-devil." the gypsy said, with narrowed eyes. How had Vriska met Puck, and why was it that she had saved his life, while turning the tables and attempting to take Taylor's?

Puck frowned to himself for a moment, thinking back to that day in Grell's biology room. "Well...it's kind of a long story. Grell was running a biology experiment on day that involved iron. A few of us ingested iron supplements, including me, and...the results were less that enjoyable. It was the most painful thing I've ever experienced," Puck shuddered, wrapping his arms around his stomach at the memory.
"Vriska gave me this...weird slimy stuff that was green and tasted awful, but whatever it was, it did the job. I coughed the thing up whole," Puck said, making a face at the memory. "My body just couldn't take it, for some reason. I was really in no position to argue with her about what that stuff was, but the only problem I seemed to have was that it made me really tired, and I hallucinated just a bit."

"Odd." Clopin thought, as the word slime struck a chord in his mind. Where had he seen something like that? Wait....the other trolls that were here....the clown one, yes, that was it. Gamzee! Clopin recalled that the troll had had green slime on his face at the dance, as if he had just eaten it. "But Grell should be punished to some degree for not making sure that any of his students were allergic." Clopin said, as he wrapped an arm around the other. "At least you're still alive."

Puck smiled, leaning back against the other gratefully. "Well, I doubt that he counted on having a fae for a student, either," Puck laughed gently. "But thank you for your concern, love."
Growing quiet for a moment, Puck wrapped one of his arms around the other in a hug. It made him feel quite a bit better to know that the other still cared about him, despite his idiocy from before. He considered telling Clopin about Moppet and the strange mental-link situation, but figured that that was a story for another day.
"I love you so much," he sighed, leaning his forehead against the other's shoulder. "You always manage to make things seem better."

"I love you too, no matter what havoc you happen to get into." Clopin said with a laugh, as he hugged the other back. It was moments like this, under their tree, where he felt the happiest. He smiled at the other's comment, and briefly nodded. "I've been told that quite a lot. But I suppose it's a good enough job for me to keep, as long as our friends are happy." Clopin said.

"True," Puck smiled, laughing just a little. "And you do a fantastic job of it." It was hard to believe that just a year ago, at the beginning of the school year, Puck had been practically alone, and Clopin wasn't even a part of his life other than a crush that he passed by in the hallways. And, even after all that had happened today and how awful it had been, Puck could still say that his life was about as perfect as he thought it could get.
"Can you believe that everything winded up...like this?" Puck said quietly, gesturing his arm around them.

Clopin smiled as he leaned back a little more to reminisce a bit. Puck was right. A year ago, Clopin had been alone, and he had always speculated that he would forever be alone...that is, until Puck told him of his crush. And then there was the entire plan they were involved in, to bring peace to the school. Yes, that's what kept him going still, and it made him happy just to think of the year.
"Honestly, it's a little hard to believe. But I'm happy with where it ended up." Clopin said, as he pulled the other boy closer, before kissing him.

Puck slowly closed his eyes, moving closer as Clopin began to kiss him, memories beginning to reel back behind his closed eyelids. Every moment they'd spent together, while not always perfect, had definitely been something else. He really did think that he was in love with the other, and honestly couldn't imagine the two of them ever being apart in the future.
Pulling back after a minute or two, Puck smiled, still very close to the gypsy. "So am I...hey, call me crazy, but one of these days, after we grow up, I'm just going to whisk you off and marry you or something," Puck laughed teasingly, whispering.
