Training in the courtyard: Secrets come out?

((OOC: This thread is mainly for the following: Opal Star, Addison, Jay, Quin, Coal Star, Dream, Nicholas, Kimi, Keith, and Sonic. Curse you Soul Eater and your abilitly to make all my titles end in a question! Enjoy ))


Opal and Quin headed out to the courtyard. Opal Star grimmanced slightly at her new partner. Quin was a great kid, but she was a bit hyper for Opal's tastes. The older goth girl sighed and arched her arms over her head.
"Alright Quin," she said, "Now that we're a team i guess we should start training."

"Sure Opal!" Quin said with a smile.
The girl was really excited, she finally had a meister and a friend. Jay was awesome. She couldn't wait to get to know her friend more. She jumped up and down in her spot, nearly giggling with happiness.

Dream had followed the two girls hoping to find a meister in the group.

Sonic was out in the courtyard reading a book. Luckily class had not yet started, it was just a day to get to know everyone and find their houses. He never took off his sunglasses for no one ever knew. He heard footsteps along the way, he didn;t need to know who they were. as long as they didn't bother him

[Maka]

"Alright then," Opal said with a small smirk, "Quin transphorm!"

"Alright!" Quin said jumping up in the air and changing with a green flash. A pistol landed in Opal's hand. The gun barrel was covered in a flora design looking much like roses and vines. The handle was simple with a study grip.

Opal smirked again, "Pretty cool Flash."

Sonic glanced over at his sister and shook his head. '...show off.' he thought with a smile. He turned the pages of the book and closed it to watch the girls from his spot

[Maka]

Opal aimed for a tree and let loose a round of black soul shots. Nodding slightly to a tune only she could hear. This was great, she never knew what she'd been missing without a weapon.

Quin flashed across the gun and cheered, "Awesome!"

Opal smiled for the first time since she was about ten. All her usual smiles had been forced or sarcastic. It was fun finally being able to smile normally. She laughed at Quin's off beat humor.

Dream sat on the grass watching. It was weird seeing Opal actually laughing. She glanced over at Sonic and smiled.

Sonic glanced at her and his mouth twitched and formed a smile. He gave her a thumbsup before returning to his book. He was happy to see his sister have found a meister. He was just lucky that Opal wasn't a jerk

[Maka]

"Nice job Quin," Opal said as Quin changed back to human form, "Seems like we'll work out great."

Quin giggled and looked over her shoulder at her brother for a nano-second. She knew what would happen in Opal realised her was there. It wouldn't be pretty.

Dream leaned back and looked from Opal to Sonic. She wondered if she should have gone and got popcorn. This might be a cool fight to watch.

Sonic stood up and stretched his arms. He wasn't here to start a fight, just to relax, and if Opal didn't want that then well it was her loss. "Hey, Dream..." he spoke to her. "Did you find out what house you are in?" he hoped to start a conversation. His father had told him to be more open with people and he wasn't sure how

[Clopin]

Janelle stepped lightly into the courtyard, humming a tune and spinning her scythe as she went. Yeah, she was here to train against the other kids. Taylor had taught her enough to hold her own in a battle with weapons. Magic...not too much. But if she could manipulate her powers, then maybe she could use that trick of Clopin's.

[Maka]

Dream looked up at Sonic from her spot on the ground, "Emberclaw I think. Just like my mom and dad."
She smiled up at the eldest in their group. He always tended to distance himself from them, but that didn't stop most of the younger kids from looking up to him. Dream wasn't very good at being a self-sustaining sythe, she knew she could do it, but there was always that want to have a meister and comrade ship that went with it.

Opal streached and held her hand out to Quin again, "Let's practice somemore before Nick get's here."
Orignially Opal Star had wanted to be a sythe meister, though Dream was to young to hold her form well. Nick fought with himself which most sythes could do. So she changed to wanting to be a gun meister.

"Alright!" Quin said with a smile, "HI JAY!"
She waved at the girl before changing into her gun form and landing in Opal's hand.

[Soul]

Nick finally walked out into the courtyard. His father had been lecturing him on 'the ways to fight as a self-sustaining scythe'...for the thirtieth time. Heck, he already had the shown natural talent for it, he didn't know why he needed to be reminded. It looked like Opal was practicing, so he simply went over to Sonic and Dream to wait until she was ready.

"Hey Sonic, hey si...twerpette." Nick said, almost saying 'sis' before realizing other people, judging people, were nearby and changing to the regular insulting nickname.

[Maka]

Dream stuck her tongue out at her brother and crossed her arms. He was so getting a 'Dream Kick' later. She smirked slightly and tapped her fingers on her arms.

Opal looked over at Nick and Dream, "Hey why don't you guys join in?"

Dream shook her head, "I'm not very good at fighting by myself."
Now that wasn't cool to say, but Dream really didn't care at the moment.

Sonic smiled. He stretched and stood up. "I'm in." he said with a smile. "Anything to get my mind working." he said, he did not look at Opal however, he knew she did not want anything to do with him and he did not care.

[Maka]

Opal rolled her eyes and spun Quin's gun form around on her finger. If there was one thing she loved it was a good fight. Not even Sonic the pain in the butt Flash was going to ruin it for her.

Sonic smiled at the others. "So how is this exactly going to work?" he asked. "Are we just going to get into teams or just go for it?" he did not care either way, he was just ready to get stronger.
