"Yes, I would say so..." Kabuto muttered. Activating his byakugan, simply out of curiosity, the silver haired man watched as the man's energy poured towards the small wound. He didn't get to watch for long, but it seemed very similar to his own healing chakra. "I would say this is a regeneration type immortality, as opposed to invulnerability, but we'd have to run another test. My chakra scalpel is a little bit different than a normal weapon, you might say." He winked as he turned off his Byakugan. Reaching for a scalpel from the counter top, the doctor pulled the blade parallel to the previous cut.

Clopin looked down at the scalpel, and then back up at Kabuto, as he frowned. "I'm almost positive that you infused some of your chakra into that blade. I couldn't feel a thing, yet there is clearly a cut in my palm." the gypsy said. However, he knew that this test had to be performed, only because he wanted to know what type of immortality he had, and whether or not it would aid him in battle.

Kabuto's head jerked up at this statement. "Couldn't feel it?" There was, indeed, a second cut on the boy's palm and Kabuto was certain that he couldn't have possibly let chakra leak unintentionally into the scalpel. Still, always better just in case... Kabuto closed his eyes, envisioned what had just happened... and pulled the scalpel across his own palm. No, he could definately feel it. There was no chakra in the blade at all. Wincing slightly as he put the blade down, Kabuto frowned as well. "....I'm not quite sure what to think of that. There was no chakra in that blade, yet you said you couldn't feel it." The doctor's eyes wandered to the ceiling and then back into his medical past, trying to find an explanation. "I suppose there might be one reason...although it's highly unlikely."

"And what is that one reason?" Clopin asked, as he watched the doctor wince in pain from the cut that had just gone across his palm. That was definitely unusual for Clopin himself. Why couldn't he feel any pain?

"It's entirely possible that Bob altered your nervous sustem when he made you immortal." The doctor explained as he healed the cut on his hand with his own chakra. Rubbing the new scar once it was healed, (soon it wouldn't even be a scar) he continued. "He might have tuned your nerves to ignore minor wounds that would heal quickly because of your new regeneration. That would be the only explanation I can think of. He's partially closed your pain gate."

"That's certainly interesting. Would I be able to withstand greater amounts of pain?" Clopin asked, as he looked to his hand once more. The skin had completely regenerated, and it looked like nothing had even happened. But there was one question that kept reverberating in Clopin's mind. Would he have any weaknesses?

“You will indeed.” Kabuto agreed, part of his mind keeping careful mental notes of possible uses of this discovery. “But you're going to have to be careful. Just because you can't feel the pain doesn't mean it won't take a toll on your body. Even though your wounds will close exceptionally fast, they'll still bleed. Take too many wounds and you risk bleeding to death. And with your raised pain tolerance, you may not notice it.” Kabuto frowned. There was something else and he knew it. What else could cause complications with healing? Ah, yes. He smiled politely again. “Would you mind if I tried one more experiment?”

Clopin gave Kabuto an odd look, and nodded. "One more test. But what's this one for, huh?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. Knowing that he couldn't feel pain was odd enough as it was, and if he got mortally wounded, he wouldn't be able to feel it. That was not good. He'd just have to be careful about any amount of wounds he acquired.

“Like I just said, your wounds will heal at an abnormally fast rate. But this can also be a danger.” The medic fussed with his equipment until he found a small plate of metal, no larger than a finger nail. Gently but firmly grabbing the boy's arm, he made an inch long cut in his flesh. “Admittedly, this is something you'd only have to worry about from someone who is familiar with your type of regeneration, but it's still an issue none the less. Because your wounds heal so fast, there is little chance for infection unless it were purposely planted. Like so.” The Hyuuga inserted the small disk into Clopin's arm.

Clopin tried to jerk his arm away from the doctor, but it was already too late. The disk was inserted into his arm, and once more, his skin regenerated over the wound. The gypsy gave the doctor an odd look, wondering what this could possibly do to prevent infection. "So what now?" Clopin asked.

Kabuto smiled nastily. "Now, if this were something that could cause an infection or poisoning, it's locked under your skin. Not only that, but if I hadn't told you, you'd have no idea." The medic carefully recut open the skin and pulled out the disk again. "Against someone with a poisoned weapon or the like, you're very nearly doomed. Unless you're certain about the weapon, you can't know if it's poisoned or not. I would suggest being extremely careful after every major battle you have." The doctor stepped away from his patient to write down his notes. All of this was very interesting and, if Kabuto was careful, possibly replicatable. Although it would take quite a bit of work. He turned to the young man. "This school can be a dangerous place. If you want to be sure of no chance of infection, you can come to my lab after a battle and I can make sure there's no poison in your system."

Clopin nodded suspiciously at the doctor. "I'll be careful about that. Until we engage in battles, I don't think I will be getting poisoned anytime soon, Monsieur." Clopin said, bowing to Kabuto. "Other than that, I sincerely thank you for your "medical" experiments. It was indeed odd, but I got something out of it." he said, shrugging his shoulders, before turning to leave.

"Good to know I can be helpful. That is, of course, what we teachers are here for." Kabuto smiled as the man left the room. He had seen the look that Clopin gave him. It was probably well deserved. But at least he was giving the boy a head start. You really never did know how to trust in this school.

Strolling into the medical classroom nonchalantly, Grell smiled, giving a wave to the teacher inside. "Hi, Grell Sutcliff. Is this were your little 'experiments' are taking place?"

Kabuto turned as the red head walked in. Ah yes, Grell. The man who first peaked Kabuto's interest in examining the interesting people of Animated high. "Yes it it, Grell. I'm glad you found it alright. Now," The silver haired man began, flipping to a new notes sheet. "I belive you said you were a Shinigami, yes?"
