That instantly changed Professor Layton's mind about Clopin. Of course, Rainbow Dash may have only heard a terrible rumor that he hung people. Aleu didn't seem like a great person, or animal, if that was the case. "Excuse me if I'm intruding, but I'm Professor Layton, teacher of archeology for the Emberclaw students, and I wanted to meet you." Layton said.

Kiki beamed as she saw a possible new friend. She cartwheeled over to him and giggled. "Hello! What's your name? I'm Kiki!" She said, holding out her hand again.

Clopin simply ignored Rainbow Dash's comment. Girls.. That was the reason why he despised them. Too much gossip and rumors for their own good. It was true that he hung people, but that had only occurred a few times. With a bored expression, he looked around. The cat-girl was also from his House, so maybe she could be a potential new friend. Layton didn't seem all that bad either.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Professor." Clopin said, walking up the the man. As he spoke, he noticed that Puck had come out as well. Clopin was a bit nervous about talking to him, but it was only because he had developed a small crush on Puck.

Puck took the girl's hand with a smile. "I am Robin Goodfellow, but you may call me Puck. It's a pleasure to meet you, Kiki," He gave a low bow.
Puck was a bit of a flirt. But it was in his personality, he couldn't help it. THis girl seemed to be quite friendly. Perhaps they could be friends. Puck glanced out of the corner of his eye to Clopin. he blushed, noticing the other boy looking his way.
((ooc: sorry if it sounded like I was godmodding, I was just saying that if he noticed him, he had to have looked at him))

"A pleasure to meet you as well, sir. Clopin, is it?" Professor Layton said, a smile on his face as he looked at Clopin. See, he wasn't so bad like Rainbow Dash had said. He could tell most of them weren't from his house, though he could have sworn he recognized Puck's name somewhere. He glanced at Puck, then looked back at Clopin. It was like Hershel acted around Claire. Claire. She was gone now, this time for sure.

"Yes. Clopin Trouillefou. You are the new archeology teacher, correct?" Clopin asked, shaking the professor's hand. Clopin's gaze then slid over to Rainbow Dash, and his eyes narrowed. He truly despised how she was spreading such false rumors, but then again, she was in another House. Thank god. As for Puck, Clopin could clearly see his face turn red. How amusing.. he thought.

Clopin, after listening for a bit to Rainbow Dash's talking, started to become irked, and he turned to the young pony. "Listen here. I am growing sick and tired of your rumors! What Aleu says is NOT true. It only happened once, and only because I would have died if I didn't do so!" he said, looking at Rainbow Dash straight in the eye. He didn't mean to scare her, but he didn't know how to say it any other way.

Puck rolled his eyes at the young horse. He had caught what she had been saying before about Clopin. Who did she think she was, spreading rumors like that? He didn't know her or Aleu very well, having only seen them occasionally in the courtyard or cafeteria.
At Clopin's words, however, Puck looked up with a start. What could cause a teenager to hang someone? The boy shook his head. Whatever reasons he had, they were his business.
"Well, this is shaping to be a very pleasant day," the boy said awkwardly, shifting his eyes to the ground. Gosh, there was always some kind of drama going on here.

"Like I care." Clopin said, rolling his eyes. He then looked down at Rainbow Dash. She was certainly a feisty little pony. Two-Tone, however, didn't seem all that bad. Clopin then shook his head, not wanting to explain what had happened. That was a story reserved for those he could trust.
