A smile formed on her blue lips. Dr. Liara T'Soni written beautifully on the chalkboard, in white chalk and all. Her class would be coming anytime soon, though she doubted they expected their math teacher to be an asari. Or blue. Or an alien in general. These people on Earth certainly didn't seem to know what an asari was, whereas anywhere else anybody could know what an asari was. Blue, monogendered, always female, and most thought rather attractive.

Gamzee didn't actually know what his schedule was, probably because he didn't even know he was at a school. Life just takes you places and you just wind up wherever, its not like anyone actually chooses where they want to go, man.
Today, it seemed like life was leading a certain young troll into a certain math classroom, although he had no idea at the time. If he knew, he would probably high-tail it out of there. But here he was, opening the door, and then he saw a blue lady. He smiled, displaying a set of wicked-looking teeth. "Hey there, you mind telling me all up where I am cause like.. uh..." he drifted off, short attention span not allowing him to finish such a long, difficult sentence when there were so many encouraging and colorful posters on the walls around him.

At least this human, or much rather human-like species had not been fearful of Liara's appearance, as so many others had since she'd been here. "Math. You're in math class." she said, her voice a bit shaky. She'd been away as a scientist for some 40 years. She didn't have the luxury of talking to people often. She'd simply have to get used to it.

Gamzee blinked, then laughed. It was a kind of uneasy laugh. "Uhh... math class?" he tilted his head, confused. His brain was not putting two and two together. He was already failing the subject. Math was some sort of weird thing, and class... class. Class could mean a lot of things. It could mean you're fancy, or it could mean its a part of one of those things that TAKE AWAY THE POWER OF MIRACLES.
He was leaning more towards the first one.

"Yes, you sure you're in the right class? I'm not sure about your name or your species. What's your name, sir?" Liara had said. If she were like her mother, she would have sent him out with a biotic slam to the door. Of course, Liara wanted a good impression to the school, so that thought didn't even bounce across her mind.

Gamzee scratched his head. "Was I supposed to get something or... or something..?" he was obviously confused but he persevered. "Uhh.. I'm Gamzee, Gamzee Makara. Its nice to finally motherfncking meet somebody nice, everyone's all up and avoiding me like they ain't never seen nobody with horns before."

"I believe so, yes." Liara said, her blue face in confusion as to why he didn't have a schedule. At least, she assumed he didn't have one. It wasn't easy to understand what he was saying. Like several species. "Well, I'm not like my mother, that's for sure." Wait, why had Liara said that? She hadn't spoken with her in years, why would she speak ill of Benezia? "I've seen horns all the time. Or, something like horns. Why don't you stay in this class for today? I could take you to the office later for a schedule."

Divided padded into the classroom. "Uh, this IS math, right?" she asked as she tilted her head. The Labramatian was still getting used to not being shouted at everyday. Her life had changed for the better since she had ran away from home, and she was happy to have peace in her life.

Gamzee didn't know why she randomly mentioned something about a "mother"... whatever that was, but he didn't care. People just do what they do, bro. Gotta take it in stride. He decided he would take her up on her offer to let him stay in the class, and pulled up a seat. He wasn't so sure about going to get a schedule later, though. Life isn't fun when its scheduled. That's like telling someone when a miracle is gonna happen- it can't be done. It can't. Be. Done.
And then, the first miracle of the day occurred. Or second if you count the sunrise. A small little furry creature made its way into the room.. and spoke. Somehow.
Gamzee could hardly contain his excitement at the little furry thing.

Liara nodded at the labramatian. "Yes, this is math. Just take a seat, and we'll have to wait for the other students to get here." the asari said, glad to see another species. She wasn't sure she would want to stay alone with Gamzee for a while longer. At least he didn't question her further and took a seat, earning Liara a student.

Jericho walked quietly into the classroom, moving on silent feet as ever. Math class would help him balance out his humanities-heavy course load. A glance at his teacher gave his brain an interesting little shock. She wasn't human. The fact didn't bother him; after all, several of his comrades had not been human. In fact, for some reason, it made him smile. He took a seat near the front of the class, putting his sketchpad and pencil on the desk.

Elliot followed Jericho into the classroom, his bag hanging lazily over one shoulder. He smiled and nodded his head in greeting at the teacher before taking a seat at an empty table and taking out his maths textbooks.

More students. Just what Liara needed to get the class ready to be taught. She went up to the front of the class. "Well, I, I'm Dr.Liara T'Soni. Glad to have you all in my class." she said as she introduced herself to the students in the class. She would have to get over being nervous of the class at sometime. "But you can all call me Ms. T'Soni if you'd prefer." None of them seemed to be freaked out by her. That was a good thing.
