"Uh... g-go ahead?" Hanna's mind was racing. A girl was going to be touching him? He could faint!

Maka took his arm in her hand lightly, turning it a bit as she read the runes. Maybe there was some connection between them and the connecting of souls that Maka and Soul had. She noticed that Hanna's pulse had risen slightly.
"Are you okay?" she asked, ready to drop his arm if he hated that she'd touched him.

"I'm f-fine," Hanna smiled, earnestly, "Do you know a lot about runes?" His heart was pounding. No doubt about that.

"Not really," Maka said blushing slightly, "They're interesting though."
She smiled at him and looked at his arm again, "What's this one?"
She touched it lightly.

Hanna tried his best not to flinch, "That one is for rebirth. It completes a temporary resurrection for long enough to complete what the soul needs to do before they are able to die peacefully." He didn't stutter for once, and wanted to sigh of relief.
"I-I could teach you more between classes if you want, Maka..."

Why didn't Helen punch Utau at what she said? Freaks. It's not like her mother died in a time travel accident. Helen thought to herself. Perhaps just to make Utau angry, she would go up and sing. "I'm going to go up after the unicorn." she announced, the thought of making Utau jealous consuming her. She glanced at Puck, wondering if he would sing or not. --- Rarity had now finished singing her song about laughing. Without one of her pony friends, it felt odd, but in the end, she was glad she was able to sing. The unicorn wandered over to Blitzwing, not wanting to be around Utau after seeing her and Maka bicker some.

"really?" Maka asked her eyes lighting up, "That be great thanks!"
She reached into her bag to grab a pen and paper so she could write down what time would be best, but instead she touched the picture she'd ment to take out of her bag last night.
"Um...what time would be best for you?" she asked.

"Uh... Any time, I guess. I mean, whenever I'm not in Dr. Facilier's class. That's the only one I'm really invested in," Hanna gushed, turning as red as his hair. He quickly started scrawling on his hand in a desperate attempt to impress.

Maka smiled and pulled out the picture from her bag. It was Soul and her with their first keshin egg, that had been one of the first times they'd succeeded. She placed it on her lap and kept watching Hanna.

The redhead's hand was shaking as it lit up and presented a fire wall that shaped to form a picture of Maka. He was blushing, but the fire was a nice distraction, he supposed. He could compose himself while she looked.
"Heh. Cool, huh?"

Maka positively beemed, "That's amasing Hanna!"

"It's nothing special," the redhead closed his palms together to extinguish the fire, "I don't know many tricks. Mostly stuff for protection and to use with the paranormal...." He bit his lip.
"So, what did you do before you came to this school, Maka?" Time to make things about her. The focus on him was making him sweat.

"Oh um..." Maka didn't want to scare the guy. She did a lot of weird things in Death City.
"I collected Keshin eggs and attempted to make a death sythe," she said quietly. She was positive that Hanna would freak out and stop talking to her now.

Well, this was Helen's chance. She might as well take it. She was trembling when she got up and to the stage. She didn't sing, she only sang when she had Henry. Henry. Henry's gone. You got to make it on your own, Helen. You need to make Mom proud. Helen thought. Her mother was dead. She wanted to tell her she missed her so bad, though. She stood up on stage, wondering if anyone watched her, or if this was all for nothing.

His eyes were probably huge, "Really? NEAT!" He scooted closer without thinking, "I mean, that's totally better than dealing with vampires and selkies and stuff."
