"really?" Maka asked opening her eyes, "You worry about stuff to much." She looked up at Hanna and smiled.

"It's not worry," Hanna smiled, "I just work to make you happy. That's what boyfriends are supposed to do, right? Make the beautiful girl they love happy at all times?"

Maka blushed and rested her head on his shoulder, "You're unlike any guy I know." She sat with the bear on her lap and smiled.

"I try to be the best for you," Hanna smiled, rubbing her shoulder, "So are you going to name the bear?"

"You name them?" she asked. That was new to Maka.

"Well, all my friends as a kid had named their stuffed animals," Hanna smiled, reminiscing to the happy times before his incident, "I had a duck named Charles. One of my buddies Ralph had a bear named Christophe."

"Really?" Maka said smiling at the bear, why not she'd give her dad this one joy, "Spirit then."

"That's a nice name," Hanna smiled, watching the windows. The train was slowing to a halt. He stood up when it stopped, "Come on, lets go to our next stop."

"There's more?" Maka asked holding Spirit close to her as they left the train.

"Of course! This isn't our whole date," Hanna giggled, taking her hand, "I got a lot of ideas." He led her around the corner and down the street to an upscale Japanese hibachi house. He helped her in and placed their shoes in a shoe claim, and taking her winter wear and hanging it up, "I hope you brought your appetite." He turned to the host.
"Ah, Mr. Cross," The host bowed, "Your table is ready." The small man lead the ginger and his darling into a private grilling booth in a room separate from the dining hall. There were very expensive looking cushions for them to sit on, and the lighting was very dim and romantic.
Hanna may have been poor back home, but not having to pay rent and having a place to live at the school saved him a lot of money, and he saved up to make their first date the greatest night of Maka's life.

"Hanna," Maka said her eyes wide, "How much are you spending on this?" She was slightly worried about how much he was spending on her.

"Don't worry about it. I have a friend who works here. I pulled some strings," Hanna smiled, helping her down onto the cushions. He actually did have to spend a pretty penny on the WHOLE night, but the dinner was actually the cheapest part.

Maka frowned and sat down looking up at Hanna. He really was a bit to sweet for his own good. She thought about how she'd taken a job at the bar just to get him the scarf he wanted. She smiled lightly and sat in the traditional japaness style.

Hanna sat down, "I've been taking a LOT of cases too. About 5 a week." He waited on the chef to enter, and tried to converse. "You're worth every penny."

"And you call me reckless," Maka laughed. She played with the old sythe she'd been using in Soul's absence. Since he was here she had turned it into a necklace.
