Soul could feel the resonance becoming unstable. He was having doubts, the instability was hitting high levels.

Maka stood trying to consentrate, "Ahhhhh!!!"
Her from started to glow along with Soul's. Blue Star jumped up ready to disconnect the two.

The ginger had enough. He drew a rune on his hand and slammed it against the ground, freezing all four combatants on the field, "That's ENOUGH. You all are going to seriously kill each other at this point." The rune suspended the four in the air, sobering the two drunken fools up.
Hanna's heart cried out through their rune link, hoping Maka could hear how torn up he was over this.

Hanna was shaking, hand still planted in the ground. "No." His eyes were somewhat shrinking, his hair standing up on end. He looked like death himself was flowing through him.

Suddenly her eyes closed and she dropped to the ground.
"Soul you ever try that again and I swear you will be maimed," Blue Star said.

Hanna broke the rune on Maka, Kid, and Patti and let Blue Star make her way to the fallen girl. Soul, however, remained in his grasp. Drawing another rune quickly, Hanna sent a wave of psychic pain towards the weapon. He was fed up with the boy's attitude.
