Don't Stop the Party

[Patti]

"Right!" she said with a smile, "Just dancing."

She hid the small frown pulling down the corner of her mouth. She didn't get it, did she like Tink? There was something there, like there had been with Flash. Moving side to side slowly, Patti kept her eyes on her feet. She was slightly scared to look at Tinkerbell now.

[Tinkerbell]

Tinkerbell glanced away for a moment, just as nervous as the other girl. She didn't think she'd even been this shy around any boys...did that mean something? It couldn't mean that...no way. Tink was straight, she was sure of it. Sure, there were times when she found herself thinking that girls were cute, but...she was cute! She was just...an expert on the way that boys thought, that's what it was it.

Trying to make things less awkward, she said with a smirk, "Hey...you're actually a good dancer, Patti."

[Patti]

"really?" Patti asked with a giggle, "I've actually never danced before. I would march in place with Liz and Kid. Not really dancing."

She looked up at Tinkerbell and smiled. Thinking a little bit about the possiblity of actually not being straight. She shook her head and smiled. There was no way.

[Tinkerbell]

Once again, Tink felt herself beginning to blush at the other girl's smile. Granted, there were a good number of times that Tinkerbell had found herself thinking about the other girl...whether it was about a certain outfit Patti had worn that day, or something she'd said that had annoyed her...there was always something on her mind about her, though she'd never stopped to think why.

But what about Patti? Was there anyway that she could be feeling this way towards her? She had been the one to pull her out on the dance floor. Maybe...

"Um, nice song," Tinkerbell remarked offhandedly, trying to keep the conversation going even though she couldn't bring herself to look at the other girl.

[Patti]

"Yeah I like it too!" Patti said humming along, "It's really nice and um...flowy!"

Patti noticed that Tinkerbell wasn't looking at her. She got a sudden feeling that she had done something to upset the girl and frowned. Letting her hands drop, she rubbed the back of her head and laughed.

"I'm sorry I'll go find you a guy to slow dance with!" she said forcing a smile.

There was no way that Tinkerbell felt anything like that toward her, so rather than trying to figure out if she was bi or not, Patti desided to defuse the situation.

"Thanks for dancing with me though," she said, the feeling of lonleyness creeping back on her.

Tinkerbell blinked, surprised as the girl dropped their hands. A confused, almost sad look passed over her face. Of course. There was no way that Patti actually felt that way...she just danced with Tink to be nice and friendly. She probably had gotten too embarrassed to dance any further.

"But..." Tinkerbell at last shook her head, forcing a smile again. "That's alright. I...had fun dancing with you. And forget finding a guy, I'd rather hang out with you for now," she added, playfully rolling her eyes with a laugh.

[Patti]

Patti's eyes lit up as she heard Tinkerbell say that she'd rather hang out with her than a guy, "Really? Awesome!"

She couldn't help but become slightly confused at Tink's sad look when she dropped her hands. Could Tink really feel the same confusion that she was? That was a far cry, even for her. She glanced over hoping that maybe Puck could help her figure this out, or even clopin. She needed one of the guys advice to determine the fluttering emotions she got just by being close to Tinkerbell.

"So...what would you like to do?" she asked.

[Tinkerbell]

Puck, though he was rather preoccupied with Clopin at the moment, couldn't help but glance a few times in Tinkerbell and Patti's direction. In all honesty, it shocked him. But..at the same time, it made perfect sense to the trickster. Catching Patti glancing in their direction, he nodded his head vigorously, trying to make it clear that whatever the girl was thinking of in concerns of Tinkerbell was definitely a good idea.

Not noticing any of this, Tink gave a nervous shrug, still smiling with her hands clasped behind her back. "Um...why don't we...get some punch or something?

[Patti]

Patti smiled lightly at Puck's encouragement and turned to look at Tinkerbell, "Sure thing!"

Reaching for her hand without a second thought, Patti caught herself at the last second and closed her fingers. Still not entirely sure about it. She started walking toward the punch bowl.

[Tinkerbell]

Tinkerbell raised an eyebrow as the girl pulled her hand away, finding it a tad bit unfamiliar that she hadn't attempted to grab her hand. Perhaps she was feeling just as confused as she was at the moment. Trying not to think about it, she followed her towards the punch bowl.

"So...how've you been since Kid left?" Tink asked as they walked, trying to make the question sound casual, like something a friend would ask.

[Patti]

"Eh, fine," Patti shrugged and laughed, "Not like we really did anything exciting. Besides he was always flirting with other girls and running around like a maniac."

She picked up a little glasss and filled it, holding it out for Tink.

[Tinkerbell]

Tink took the glass gratefully, giving a sympathetic look at the mention of Kid. She did feel sorry for Patti, but for some reason, she was also a little relieved that they hadn't gotten too serious. Trying to ignore that thought, she took a sip of punch thoughtfully.

"Aw, that's too bad," she replied. "So....you're here by yourself tonight, then?" Well, that was a stupid question. Obviously she was.

[Patti]

"Well I came with Maka," Patti said, "Only to get her out of the library though. SO yeah I'm here alone. What about you?"

She was hoping, no, praying that Tinkerbell wasn't here with someone else. She was popular and a cheerleader after all. She could have anyone she wanted. Thinking of Puck, Patti giggled in her head. Well almost anyone.

[Tinkerbell]

"Yeah..." Tink said, giving a small sigh. Well, maybe that wasn't such a bad thing, now that she thought about it... "Puck invited me to come with the rest of his little group, but they've all gone off by themselves," she explained, gesturing towards Puck and Clopin, then at Jareth and Grell.

"So...I guess we're sort of here with each other now, aren't we?" Tinkerbell laughed, just a little bit nervously.

[Patti]

"Guess so!" Patti said with a smile.

She looked over at Tink and bit the inside over her lip as a blush crept onto her face. Come onnnnn Patti you're never nervous! She leaned closer to Tink and paused for a second.

"Tink...are you...um...bi?"
