Don't Stop the Party

[Clopin]

(OOC: Prom thread. This will be unlocked when all prom preparations have been made.)

"Clopin, be careful up there! That ladder looks really unstable!"
"Oh, hush, Taylor! I'm fine!"
"Let's see how far you fall, then!"

As normal, the two friends were arguing...over the stupidest thing. Clopin, Taylor, and Bob were assigned to put up decorations for the school's prom..the last dance before school let out for summer.

The Warden had put his assassins up to it, and Clopin...as punishment for pranking Principal Q and getting caught. As Clopin was stringing up banners in their awfully large gym, Bob and Taylor were setting up tables with food and drink.

A few hours later, the three breathed a deep sigh of relief, looking at their handiwork. The banners were perfect, and the tables were full of food, and plenty of drinks. The last thing missing was their DJ to man the music and lights.

"Bob, is your mom coming soon?" Taylor asked, turning to the unicorn.

He flattened his ears against his head. "Can't y'all just call her by her stage name? Y'all know I don't like it when y'all say "mom." Bob said. Taylor rolled her eyes.

"Fine. DJ PON-3. Is she coming soon?" Taylor asked.

As if on cue, a unicorn about the size of Bob trotted in, with large purple sunglasses, and spiky electric blue hair highlighted with aqua blue.
"Vinyl Scratch is in the house! So, where's my turntable?" the unicorn asked. Bob slumped his shoulders forward a little.

Clopin snickered. "I see that crazy hair runs in the family, no?" he asked. Bob shoved him to the side, as he guided his mother towards the front stage.

"Kay, mom. Here's your music, and lights. Y'all know how to do everythin'." he said, with a sheepish smile.

"Got it. Thanks for the help, Bob." Vinyl Scratch said, with a smile. She then used her horn to summon up two discs, and soon enough, music was booming throughout the gym.

"Alright. Prom starts in about...oh SHIT. ONE HOUR. We need to get ready NOW!"
Taylor said, as she dragged Clopin with her. Bob simply cantered along behind them.

[Clopin]

Clopin skidded to a stop, as the dance floor was already full of colors, decorations, and Vinyl Scratch herself at the head of it. He then turned to Puck with a grin. "Isn't this just wonderful, mon amour? I'm rather excited for the entire event." he said.

Bob, meanwhile, had the Warden on his back, and came to a complete crash, as both he and the Warden narrowly missed Clopin and Puck, creating a hole in the wall. Dust rose as the two shook themselves, and the Warden began bickering with the unicorn for his crash-landing.

Meanwhile, Taylor took Joseph's arm, and kept to his side as they walked. She was completely unaware that the girl who had vehemently tried to kill her was walking behind them, hidden in the shadows of the trees as they walked along.

[Puck]

Puck grinned in response, nodding in agreement. "That makes two of us, then," Puck laughed. Glancing around the gym, he raised an eyebrow at the sight of their DJ, unable to help but snicker just a little bit. "I take it that that's Bob's mother, huh?" He asked, pointing to the unicorn with a smile.

Grell, Jareth, and Tinkerbell each arrived rather quickly behind the others, Jareth and Grell talking amongst themselves about who knows what and Tink giving them both a rather bored expression. Teachers. It figured that they could still manage to be boring at something as fun as prom night.

Joseph smiled as he walked with Taylor, enjoying the fact that they were able to walk together by themselves for awhile. Glancing at her from the corner of his eye, he at last cleared his throat and mentioned a bit awkwardly, "You look...beautiful tonight, Taylor." He gave her a shy smile, blissfully unaware of whoever it was that was following them.

[Clopin]

"Yes, that is indeed Bob's mother." Clopin said, with a laugh. She was actually quite the DJ, and he couldn't ask for anything better than that. The gay unicorn certainly had a lot more that he hadn't told them about. But...that could definitely wait until later. He then turned back to Puck.

"Well, mon amour...shall we dance?" Clopin asked, extending a hand towards his lover.

Meanwhile, Taylor's face turned a slight red. "T-Thank you, Joseph. You know...I haven't heard that in a long time. All I ever dated was complete players, and only one of them ever said that..and it was because of him that I ended up in jail." she said, her eyes gazing out towards the edge of the school. "But nevermind that. Tonight is different." she said, sidling up to Joseph.
"I love you a lot. And I'm not just saying that for saying it, kid. I do love you." she said, with a toothy smile.

[Puck]

Puck grinned, nodding and taking Clopin's extended hand into his own. Sliding closer towards the other, he smirked, raising an eyebrow almost challengingly at the boy. "Of course...if you can keep up, that is," he teased, narrowing his eyes playfully.

Joseph turned a deep scarlet, giving a shy smile in return to Taylor's words. "I...I think I love you, too, Taylor," he replied. "Look, I...might be about as different as the kind of guy you're used to being with can be, but...I just want you to know that I think you're really special. And I want to be...I want to be with you, like in a boyfriend kind of way." At that Joseph blushed deeper, but still smiled sweetly at the girl.

[Taylor]

Clopin only grinned, as he pulled Puck closer. "Don't tempt me." he said, with a sly look. Vinyl Scratch had switched to a bit of a slower song, enticing Clopin to go into some sort of slow dance with Puck.

Meanwhile, Taylor couldn't help but smile. "You...you do?" she asked. She then shook her head, cowlick bobbing. That was a dumb question. He just said he did. Taylor then picked up his hand, and nodded.
"I'll take you up on that offer." she said, with a wink. Of course, she was completely serious, but she couldn't help acting a little playful about it.
She then kissed him on the lips, before pulling back, and hugging him. "I love you so much." she whispered.

[Joseph]

Once again, Joseph was taken off guard by the girl's kiss. At her whisper, Joseph could only smile, a blush still very present on his face. A girl actually liked him...that had never happened before, unless you counted Potiphera, which Joseph did not.
"I love you, too," he whispered back, pulling her a little closer to him by the hand. Glancing over his shoulder towards the gym, he gave a small sigh. "We should probably get going, before your friends start wondering where we are," he said, giving a small laugh.

Puck only smiled, moving comfortably into the dance as the music began to soften. "I'm all about temptation, love," he laughed, leaning against the other's shoulder.

[Maka]

Maka and Patti walked into the dance room. Fortuantly for Patti she didn't have to wear a symmetrical outfit since she wasn't going to be around Kid. Maka was wearing a normal dark purple thigh lenght dress and black heals. Her hair was pulled back into a lose bun.

Patti was wearing a dress that had a sequin top half and a tutu like bottom in blue and pink. She was wearing ballet flats and had a small rose in her hair. She glanced around the room looking for a friendly face, since Kid Flash had left she felt a little loney and missed hanging out with friends. Seeing Tink she smiled and tried to pull Maka with her, but the other blonde wouldn't move.

"Go ahead Patti," she said, "I don't feel like talking to people."

Patti gave her a strange look but ran over to Tink, hugging her tightly.

Maka crossed her arms and listened to the music, swaying slightly.

[Tinkerbell]

Tinkerbell nearly shouted at the surprise contact, turning sharply to see Patti wrapping her in a hug. Suddenly, the blond smiled, hugging the girl back with a small giggle.

"Hey, Patti!" She said happily. Normally, Tink would have been a bit more annoyed at being surprised in such a way, but she was far too excited tonight to get annoyed with anyone. Besides, she'd been feeling a little lonely until the other girl had arrived, as Jareth and Grell were at the opposite side of the gym, and Puck had gone off to dance with Clopin.

"Your dress is so cute!" She grinned, looking the girl's outfit over.

[Patti]

Patti giggled and spun around in a circle, "Thanks! You look cute too!"

She wasn't sure if she and Tink where still 'friends' after all she seemed to annoy the small cheerleader a lot. Checking herself she took a small step away from the smaller blonde and smiled.

"So how's it going?" she asked glancing around at the same time to see if there where any cute guys that she would lose Tink's attention to.

[Tinkerbell]

"Hehe, thanks," the girl said, subconsciously reaching a hand up to fluff her hair. "Alright, I guess. Kinda boring...no guys anywhere," the cheerleader grumbling, folding her arms in a pout.

"What about you? What have you been up to lately?"

[Patti]

((hehe thanks! So is yours!))

"Oh nothing," Patti said, "Just goofing around and trying not to get in trouble with Kid and stuff. Kid Flash left school...so you know totally free now!"

Giggling Patti took Tinkerbell's hand and nodded her head towards the dance floor, "Want to dance?"

[Tinkerbell]

Tinkerbell raised an eyebrow, her eyes widening suddenly with surprise as Patti took her hand. She then reminded herself how exuberant Patti was with showing affection, and just gave the girl a strange look.

"Uh...sure, why not," she shrugged, giving a small laugh. Pulling the girl out towards the dance floor, Tink suddenly froze when she realized that there was still a slow song playing in the background. How was she supposed to dance to this with Patti?

[Patti]

Patti smiled and took the girl's other hand in her own. Placing their palms together and stepping closer so their elbows bent. She wasn't sure how girls danced to slow songs with other girls, but this seemed okay. Since they were just friends, she wasn't really thinking about it. Though she did find Tink pretty cute, shaking her head she giggled and looked at Tinkerbell's eyes.

"IF you find it weird we dont have to dance." she said.

[Tinkerbell]

Tinkerbell blushed, averting her gaze as Patti put their hands together and moved them into a dancing position. Glancing back up at the girl cautiously, she only blushed deeper when she saw the girl's smile. She was...cute? But, it wasn't like Tinkerbell liked her or anything...she just new what a girl had to look like to be cute.

"No, no it's fine," Tink said quickly, putting on a smile and giving a nervous laugh. "It's...it's just dancing, right?"
