(ooc: Yeah, I know, lame title. Hush. It was the best I could think of. Open to all! Even fellow professors who might want to drop in and see how the new guy is holding up. CX)
Either the young man was early, or his students were quite late. Somehow, Howl didn't think he would be surprised if it was the latter. The class was fairly new, after all. He had only arrived at the school recently, and the class had been put together rather rapidly. Howl didn't mind, though. He was ready to teach whether his students were or not. The flamboyant young man walked across the room, stopping beside the swivel chair located behind his desk and taking off his colorful coat. He let it fall loosely around the chair and proceeded to sit in it, resting one leg comfortably on his desk and putting his arms behind his head. A fairly laid back teacher, one might say.
Of course, Howl kept his gaze fixed on the classroom door. He knew it wouldn't be long before students started to show up. Once they did, he could begin his lecture.

Bickering was heard from down the hall. One voice was female, while the other sounded like a high-pitched male voice. "BOB! I don't do magic, and my schedule's already full, thanks to you!" Taylor complained. Bob the unicorn, who was dragging her by the collar of her shirt with his teeth, simply snorted.
"But it's magic, y'all! Don't y'all wanna learn it?" he asked, as he walked backwards, to where the Warden had told them the new magic class was to be held. "NO! You know I work better with blades, and knives, and--" "Shut up, y'all, and get into your new class."
"Oh no you don't, you stupid horse! You're coming with me!" Taylor said, dragging Bob by his tail into Howl's class. She gave the man a sheepish smile as she noticed him standing there, and introduced herself. "Hehe...um..my name's Taylor. And the unicorn's Bob." she said.

Excellent. Howl was pleased, to say the least, that someone had decided to show up after all. "It's a pleasure to meet you both. I'm Professor Pendragon, but feel free to simply call me Howl if you wish." he said. Yes, How was definitely a more laid back teacher than what they were used to. However, he took his subject quite seriously. They would get to that soon enough, though. Howl would have preferred to wait to see if more students showed up.
Having heard only bits and pieces of Bob and Taylor's conversation, Howl could surmise that Taylor was less than pleased about being placed in another class. "I take it you aren't interested in learning a bit about magic, Taylor?" Howl asked. Despite what one might have thought, his tone remained calm. Howl wasn't offended in the least, especially given it was such a new class and he a new professor. He would just have to try and make it interesting.

Jericho was finding himself with too much time on his hands and not enough inspiration. Therefor, it seemed only logical that, when he heard of a new class on the roster that would help fulfill his supernatural studies requirement, he decided to sign up. After all, the worse that could happen was that he ended up doodling all class and that would be an improvement over his current art block. The blond walked into the classroom, notebook and pencil in hand. He was not terribly surprised to find a general lack of students in the room; in fact, it was the talking unicorn that commanded that award. However, he was far more adjusted to life at Animated High now than he was when he first arrived and walked quietly past both the unicorn and the girl arguing with it to a seat in the middle row, a calm smile on his face as he watched the two of them.

"No, no I'm not." Taylor said, crossing her arms. "You see, Mr...Howl, I'm more accustomed to using weapons like daggers and swords. Leave the magic-making to my other friends, like Clopin or this unicorn here." she said, pointing to Bob. "Don't y'all know how to make a proper introduction?" Bob asked, as he stepped right up to Howl's face. "My name's Bob, as Taylor already said. I'm real interested in learnin' some more magic, at least, more than I already know." Bob said with a grin. "And, I also hear that y'all are the new teacher! So welcome, y'all!" he said, clapping his hooves together in a humanlike way.

"Well, I'll just have to see if we can't get you more interested then. There's more to magic than spells and potions, you know." Howl said with a little nod. "But, we'll get into that once the rest of the class arrives. And thank you, Bob, for the welcome. I look forward to meeting the rest of the teachers." he added, adjusting his position in his chair to a more normal way of sitting. It was then that he noticed Jericho had arrived as well. "It looks as though we'll be getting off to a slow start today." he said rather nonchalantly. "No matter. Since Taylor and Bob have already introduced themselves, I suppose you should as well." Howl stated, indicating Jericho.

Joseph held up one finger, indicating that his new teacher should wait a moment. The pencil flew across the page, and before long he held the notepad up. His free hand indicated to his throat. My name is Jericho. I'm mute, but I can speak American Sign Language if you know it. He then nodded in greeting to both Taylor and Bob, smiling in a friendly manner. Taylor at least reminded him of Nightwing. He wondered if she specialized in any particular weapon or, like his old comrade, was simply a master of all of them.

A mute, huh? This could be very interesting. Howl was intrigued, to say the least. "Well, I believe this shall be an interesting experience. It's nice to meet you, Jericho." Howl said at last. A unicorn, a girl who appeared to have been dragged into the class against her will, and a mute. Quite the interesting bunch, Howl thought. "Strange... I would have thought more people would have shown up by now. If no one else comes within the next five minutes, we'll have to start without them." Howl stated.
It wasn't that Howl particularly minded starting with such a small class. Not at all. He was just a bit perplexed that more people weren't interested. Oh well. Magic isn't for everyone. Just go with it for now, Howl. he thought.

Taylor promptly swung around one of the nearby desks in the front row, and plopped down into the seat, refusing to move. This was her method of defiance against the stupid unicorn. "Aw, come on, y'all. Magic's a fun thing!" Bob said, as he trotted over to Taylor's side. She flashed her teeth at him, before slipping out her dagger.
"But you know VERY well that this is my one and only true weapon." she growled. "Not magic." Taylor said, putting the dagger away before Howl could catch a glimpse of it.

"Well, they told me that there was a new magic teacher somewhere around here."
Jareth the Goblin King was leaning up against the doorway nonchalantly, chuckling quietly as he looked into the new classroom. In one hand was a clear glass ball, which he was currently sliding back and forth in his hand like a juggler. He smiled as he turned to look at the teacher, stepping further into the room while he continued to play with the clear object.
"A pleasure to meet you," the blond smiled, making the ball disappear to extend a hand for the man to shake. "I'm Jareth, the mythology teacher. I take it you're the new magic teacher?"

Howl hadn't anticipated the arrival of another individual so soon. With the way so few students had shown up, the wizard was under the impression that his class was just being snubbed. He'd taken on a tiny bit of a pouting expression, but it quickly disappeared as Jarreth arrived. Another of the teachers, Howl presumed. "That is correct, my good sir. Howl Pendragon is my name, magic, potions, and transformations are my game." Howl introduced. "Or rather, the practical usage of such things. Wouldn't want anyone to get the wrong idea about any of these things." he added quickly.

Jareth chuckled, shaking his blond head a little at that. "Of course not. But being practical can get to be so...boring, don't you think?" The fae raised an eyebrow mischievously, snapping his fingers to produce an open umbrella, which he quickly closed and leaned against. Seeing it to serve no other purpose than to prove his love of things impractical, the man simply made it disappear again "Being King of the Goblins has made that idea a solid law for myself."
Glancing around the room for a moment, the king smiled at the sight of Taylor and Bob. "Good afternoon, you two. Pleasure seeing you again."

Howl, in turn, just chuckled a little. This teacher certainly was... interesting. "I suppose you're right. I just don't want anyone getting carried away." he stated. He didn't want anyone ending up like he almost had, losing control of themselves in an attempt to protect something they cared about deeply. Well, that was really Howl's own fault for wanting to protect Sophie... but what the others didn't know wouldn't hurt them. "I'll try to make it as fun as I can, though. How's that?" Howl asked.
