"You'll learn how to fight like me soon enough. I hope you were paying attention." Taylor said. "Clopin, put me down right now. I'm not your freaking dog!" she said, as she thrashed around in his grip. The gypsy firmly planted her down, before crossing his arms over his chest.
"What else is next?" he asked. Taylor shrugged, and turned to Bob. "What else is on your mind, unicorn?" she asked. Bob sat in thought for a moment, before looking back to Taylor. "I want y'all to take three laps around the perimeter of this area. It'll help y'all's speed." Bob said.
"What?! That's not even--fine." Taylor grumbled.

Puck covered a smirk at Taylor's irritation with Bob's order, taking off in a slow sprint. He was a fairly good runner, but he'd gotten soft lately due to being able to fly everywhere, he supposed.
"Come along then, Taylor. It's only three laps!" He called over his shoulder teasingly, laughing as he made his way halfway around the field.

Taylor paused for a moment before taking off. "Come on Tay! It's only three laps!" Why did those memories keep coming back? Taylor refused to remember those memories from her past life, but for some reason, they kept resurfacing. She clenched her teeth, and began to run after Puck. I won't let him beat me. she thought.
Clopin took off running as well, not really caring for which place he ended up in, as long as he got the exercise. Besides, he had been putting on just a bit of weight lately, and it wasn't suiting him well, especially when it slowed him down.

Catching sight of Taylor catching up to him, Puck looked back with slight alarm, running just a bit faster. A brief thought of jumping into the air in mid-stride came to mind, and he almost acted on it, but the young fae brushed it away as quickly as it had come. It wouldn't have been fair for the girl, or for himself, in the long run. Besides, he could use the exercise.
"You'll have to do better than that, Taylor!" Puck laughed again, still teasing. Whatever guilt he'd been having before towards her was beginning to go away, it seemed.

Taylor's face changed into some expression neither of the boys had seen before; it was hard to tell if it was anger, or just pure determination.
She bolted past Puck, without one look behind her. Whatever that memory had been, it had given her some sort of incentive to run even faster. She wasn't trained for failure; while it was possible, she had made every effort not to make it so. Yeah, Taylor had been stabbed here and there while pursuing criminals, but it never stopped her.
And neither would Puck.

Puck nearly tripped as Taylor bolted past him, looking after her in surprise. Too taken aback to even yell after her or try to catch up, Puck sort of took to lagging behind, staring at the girl in confusion. He hadn't pushed her too far, had he? No...this had to be something else. Something that was deep inside Taylor that he'd merely managed to brush the surface of.
In all honesty, he wasn't sure if it was a good thing or a bad thing. Having moved at a much slower pace, Puck now found himself jogging alongside of Clopin. Glancing to the gypsy, he made the remark, "Did you...see that look she got on her face when she ran? It was...wow. I don't even know how to describe it."

Clopin stared after the solitary figure on the far side of the field with confusion as well. "I cannot describe it either, Puck. But here's...what I can say. You probably brushed the surface of some memory she did not want to remember." Clopin said. "And if I know that girl well enough already, she won't be talking to you anytime soon, or at least until this exercise is over. Kudos to you." Clopin said, as he picked up his pace a little.

"Shit," Puck muttered, rolling his eyes at his own stupidity. There were times when Puck hated the side of his personality that loved to annoy. It was like he couldn't ever turn it off, especially at the absolute worst times. Just a day or two ago, he had killed the girl, for god's sake! And now he was bringing up emotionally scarring experiences as well?
"There are times when I really should keep my big mouth shut," Puck grumbled to himself, running a bit faster as he neared the end of their distance.

Clopin merely nodded, with no comment to add in, as they finally caught up to Taylor. The girl had taken a temporary seat on the rock, as she drew in deep breaths.
"Taylor? Are you alright?" Clopin asked. The girl turned to him with that same expression, and gritted her teeth. "Just...leave me alone. I'll be fine." she said. Clopin stepped back, and turned to Bob. "Does this happen often?" he asked the unicorn. Bob shook his head from side to side.
"It happens every once in a while, like her cleaning episodes, y'all. Puck somehow caused her to remember a memory that she didn't want to remember." Bob said, as he looked to the fae, and then Taylor. "She hasn't had an easy life, y'all. But I doubt y'all haven't had it easy either." Bob said.
Taylor herself shook her head, and looked to the two. "Alright, next task. Speed." she said. "I'm going to test how fast you two can dodge weapons. Using these." Taylor said, as she pulled out three small daggers. Clopin gulped for a moment. Clearly, something had tipped her to the edge...or this was just normal training for her. Either way, he knew he'd have to dodge them rather quickly.
"What's wrong? I thought you two were immortal?" Taylor demanded, as she prepared to throw the daggers directly at the two.

Puck's eyes widened, and he immediately ducked before he could even say anything, even though she hadn't thrown the daggers yet. He almost made a sarcastic comment, but held it back when he saw the look in the girl's eyes. If he really was going to try and stop pushing her, then he'd have to start now.
"Alright then. Bring it on," he nodded, giving a cool, serious expression.

Taylor spun around on one foot before tossing the daggers directly at Clopin and Puck. Clopin ducked and skidded to the side to avoid the dagger headed for his chest, as it embedded itself in a nearby tree. He then turned to see how Puck was faring, and silently hoped that neither of the daggers flying towards the other boy would actually hit.
But what nerve had Puck pulled on within Taylor? It had to be something dark..something that she did not want to remember.

Puck jumped into the air, floating for a moment to avoid being hit. He glanced towards Clopin for a moment, to see the other boy doing the same, and breathed a sigh of relief that neither of them had managed to be hit.
What had he done to the girl? Whatever it was, Puck was too afraid to even apologize at this point. He'd have to be careful with his words for awhile with Taylor, he was sure.

Clopin whirled around after nearly getting hit by the second dagger. As he pulled himself up from the ground, he looked at Taylor with a gleam in his eye.
"Mon dieu, Taylor! What in the world has gotten into you?!" he shouted. Taylor glared at him, before clenching her teeth, and then sighing.
"I hate being reminded of my old life. When Puck told me that it was only "three laps", it brought back a memory I don't want to remember." she said.

Puck straightened up, frowning in confusion as Clopin dodged another dagger and spoke with the girl. He hated that he'd managed to spark this new feeling inside her, but had no idea what he could say to make things better. Most likely, nothing.
"Taylor...whatever it was I said, I'm sorry," Puck sighed. "...though I doubt you're going to listen to me. Not that I blame you."

Taylor sighed, before looking back up to Puck. "I accept your apology. But you should know well enough that I don't forgive easily." she said, through clenched teeth.
Those memories...and Jenna. Oh, how she missed her childhood friend. Taylor slightly frowned at the thought, before shaking her head. "Whatever. We've got a training session to do, and dammit, I'm going to teach you both good fighting skills! Bob! Bring me some arrows!" Taylor shouted. The unicorn did as he was told, and the girl recieved the bow and arrows in her hands.
"Now then. You two need to get better at dodging. What's going to happen if someone has a gun? Ducking and rolling isn't going to save your life." she said, as she took up the bow, aiming at the two of them.
