Clay stared down at his watch, realizing that he was going to be late to some meeting his secretary had informed him about not more than ten minutes ago. "Great, just great," he muttered, putting down his pen while he glared at the paper work on his desk. No doubt they would be filled up even more by the time he returned. Sometimes he wondered why he even had this job.
The mayor rose from his seat and grabbed his jacket as he headed down the hall. His secretary was about to call out to him, but he had already left the door. The drive to the school wasn't that far, but being late to a meeting, even for children, would not look good on his record. After all, the students were looking for good careers. Why anyone would want to be mayor of this town, though, was beyond him.
Clay stepped into the building, showed his ID and let one of the faculty members lead him to the proper classroom. He expected an average class - normal, bright students or typical, rowdy teenagers. Just average, everyday people. He didn't get that.
There was a unicorn.
He wasn't on any medication, was he? He couldn't remember.
Clay blinked slowly, the door shut behind him as the faculty member left him to the Warden.

The Warden, who had been teaching his class about god knows what (most likely the art of incarceration), turned to quickly face the door, as the "mayor" walked in. "How splendiferous, Mr. Mayor! You made it just in time, before these kids fell asleep." the Warden said, gesturing to his class with a look of sarcasm, as he stepped forward to shake the other man's hand in greeting.
Bob, meanwhile, had taken yet another break by curling up to sleep in some corner of the classroom, as the kids were used to him doing. Taylor rolled her eyes as the unicorn's ears perked up to listen in on the Warden's conversation. "Hey, Bob, get up. I think they're talking about you." Taylor hissed. Bob slowly pulled himself up, shook his head, and with a brief nod to Taylor, trotted off to the Warden's side.

The mayor returned the handshake, giving the Warden a formal smile. "Uh...yes, pleasure to meet you Mr..." Clay paused to think of the man in a purple suit's name. Did his secretary even give him a name or really tell him anything? He was almost tempted to call him Mr. Wonka at this point. Wait, wait, it did start with a W. "Warden, right? I'm sorry, I wasn't informed about this until just recently. I'm sorry I'm la..." he trailed off again, eyes traveling to the unicorn that was now standing beside the other man. Clay cleared his throat. "Is there no one else filling in for possible career choices?" He did notice he was the only other adult in this room.

"Not today, y'all. You're the only one!" Bob said with a snort. "Bob, don't speak until I've introduced you!" the Warden said, turning upon the unicorn with a quick rap on the nose from his cane. Bob only shook his head, and rubbed his nose with a pink hoof. "And I thought I told y'all to stop doin' that!" the unicorn snapped. The Warden only rolled his eyes in response, as he turned to Clay. "This would be my wonderfully obnoxious, yet loyal unicorn, Bob." he said, with a gesture of his gray glove towards the pink and white stallion.

So he wasn't hallucinating. He wasn't sure if that should make him feel better or not. He frowned, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "Are animals allowed on this property? I don't mean to be rude, I've just never seen a - something like him in a classroom before. Is this a common occurrence here?" He'd never even heard of this high school before. Did anyone know this place existed outside of its inhabitants? Clay felt like he was in shock. There was a talking unicorn and a man who looked like he came from a retro show of some sort. He was beginning to doubt his own mind at this point, but he had to stay calm.

The Warden looked quickly to Bob, and then back to Puppington. "Well...not exactly, you see. Our story is a little complicated, which resulted in Bob following me here. We come from a different dimension, where I run the prison for the world's worst criminals." the Warden said, with a large, gap-toothed smile.
"So no, unicorns are definitely not a common occurrence here." the Warden said.

"Oh, well, that's sort of a relief, then. I'm not sure how well I'd react to seeing unicorns everywhere," Clay said, laughing a little uneasily. The name "Warden" made more sense now. "Wait, dimension?" That had to be impossible. God didn't make dimensions. The mayor shook his head. "Forget I asked, maybe it is best I don't know all the details."

"Dimension 5612! Superjail is the largest prison there!" the Warden said gleefully, as he extended his arms above his head, causing the class to stare at him. "If you'd like, Bob could take us for a quick visit to the jail after class. There's...a bar, for starters." the Warden said, with a grin.

Clay smiled somewhat nervously, rubbing the back of his neck. "That sounds very nice, but I don't drink. You see, drinking is a sin," he explained carefully. "But thanks for the offer anyway. Should we have the students ask me questions now?"

The Warden only shrugged in reply. "Why not? Let's begin." he said, before turning to his class. "Class...this is Mr. Clay Puppington. He is here on account of my self-proclaimed 'Super Career Day'!" the Warden said, with a grin. "Any questions you have, ask him!" Taylor looked to the front of the classroom, and raised her hand. "Yes, Taylor?" the Warden asked. "What's his job? He never really told us." she said.

Clay cleared his throat, stepping to the front of the class. "I'm the mayor of this town. My job entails paperwork, the town's budget, and the approval of activities the town may want to perform. Mostly, though, there is a lot of paper work," he sighed to himself.
