((ooc: Bah, blame music for the title. Just Clopin and Puck for now, please. )) Puck was feeling rather bored, and it was fairly obvious to see. Especially to his butler of sorts, who finally told him that if he was going to be so depressing then he should get out of his room this instant and go find something to do. So, naturally, he went straight for one of his favorite places to go. The large oak outside the courtyard. The boy climbed into the familiar branches, pulling out one of the many books he kept hidden away in his bedroom to read. It was one that he'd read many times before, but it was the only thing he'd had a chance to grab before Grell shoved him out the door, so it would have to do. Puck secretly hoped that Clopin might walk by, but the boy had had no clue as to whether or not the gypsy was busy training with the Warden today, so he hadn't stopped by his dorm as he usually did when he was bored. So, he set about to reading, hoping that the time might pass more quickly as he did.

((ooc: NO. NEVER MIND. IT MUST BE AWKWARD. X3))
Ah, a little break would be rather nice for my poor nerves...
Jareth sighed contently as he strolled across the courtyard. True, the Goblin King didn't suffer nearly the same kind of work that he'd dealt with back home, but being around children all day was exhausting nonetheless.
"My, I do dare to say that it's looking rather nice this afternoon," Jareth mused, glancing up at the clouds above curiously. "How...dull." Jareth enjoyed the good weather, but it tended to grow stale over time. Especially when it put all these children in such annoyingly cheerful moods.
As his eyes shifted across the lawn, the king noticed that a familiar form was hanging off a tree limb at the edge of the yard. Recognizing it as Puck, the man smiled, strolling over to where the boy resided nonchalantly.
"Good day to you, Mr. Goodfellow," Jareth smiled, tapping the boy on the leg. This immediately caused the boy to topple over onto the ground, blushing like a fiend when he realized who it was. How amusing.

"Jareth!" Puck stuttered, his face completely red as usual. "S-sir! I...didn't expect to see you here!" Well, SOMEONE looked like an imbecile. How positively embarrassing.
Jareth cocked his head to the side, an amused expression on his face. "Naturally. Most seldom do. Are you alright?"
Puck nodded furiously, biting his lip as he looked back up at the teacher. Oh, this was too ridiculous, and Puck knew it. How could he possibly have a crush on a teacher?! The boy knew that Clopin was the one for him, and always would be, but he couldn't help but get that butterfly feeling in his stomach every time he was around Jareth.
The blond offered a hand to the boy, who cautiously took it to stand up. Jareth noticed the way that Puck kept looking down nervously, attempting to avoid Jareth's multicolored gaze. And it humored him. Oh, if only this poor boy knew...
Rolling his eyes at Puck's refusal to meet his gaze, Jareth took the boy's chin in hand, lifting it like a scolding mother so that Puck was now looking at him. "Puck. It is very rude to look away from the person speaking to you. What's the matter; is there something you find unpleasant about my face?" The teacher gave him a crooked grin, making Puck's knees go a bit weak.
"N-No, sir..." Puck swallowed. "I...can't say that there is." The boy found himself to be blushing even more now, up to the tips of his large ears as he stared back at Jareth's different-colored eyes.

From the bush beside Jareth and Puck, the girl silently watched. She knew stealth like the back of her hand, from previous assassin missions. And she knew that if she dared to snicker at the scene in front of her, that would give her away.
Clopin strolled onto the scene, with one eyebrow raised suspiciously at Puck. "Mon amour, is there something wrong with you?" Clopin asked. He noticed that the boy's face had turned a very deep red, just because Jareth was there.

"Clopin!" Puck exclaimed a bit too loudly, turning away from the Goblin King suddenly. Jareth only raised an eyebrow at the gypsy; he hadn't known Puck to have a boyfriend. He'd known that Puck had become rather infatuated with him; that was painfully obvious to see to anyone. But he'd deducted from Puck's behavior that he was still unsure about his orientation. Interesting.
"Erm...no, nothing's wrong, love," Puck said nervously, taking a step closer to the other boy. No, no, this was not good... Clopin could see through Puck in a second, and he knew it. And the last thing he wanted his boyfriend to see was that he currently had a little crush on his mythology teacher. "I was just...engaging in conversation with Jareth here," Puck explained, trying to smile.

Taylor paused for a moment. Should she? Or shouldn't she? Whatever. She'd wait there until the time was right.
Meanwhile, Clopin could see through Puck's subterfuge in an instant. "Puck...you have some explaining to do." Clopin said, with haughtily crossed arms and a tapping of his foot. "I can't just sit here and believe your lies. You know very well, as do I, that what you say is not true." Clopin said, with a calm voice.

Puck bit his lip, his mind rushing to try and come up with something to say. He knew that Clopin wouldn't believe any lie that he attempted to come up with, because Puck tended to be a terrible liar under these types of circumstances. What should he do? If he told the truth, he'd only succeed in humiliating himself in front of Jareth and run the risk of having Clopin storm off. But if he lied, then the later was still very possible, if not guaranteed.
Jareth, however, found this whole scenario highly amusing, and held his tongue to keep from laughing out right. Clearing his throat, he spoke, "I do believe that I understand Puck's problem....Clopin, is it?" Jareth gave a smile, then continued. "This poor little fellow has most unfortunately fallen for yours truly," Jareth smirked, tousling the hair on Puck's head playfully. Puck turned an even deeper hue of scarlet, eyes widening as wide as saucers. Oh boy. How was he going to explain this one?!

Taylor, from the nearby bush, held in a huge gasp as the issue was revealed, and turned her gaze to Clopin, to see what he would do.
Clopin fell silent for a moment, as he looked to Puck. "I knew it from the start." he said, with a sigh. "Puck, you know you can't lie. And I'm not going to get mad about it, and storm off. That is not how a proper king-to-be behaves. I understand that this is high school, and each relationship has its breaking points. This would be one of them." Clopin said.
Out of nowhere, Taylor leapt out of the bushes, and positioned herself inbetween Jareth and Clopin. "Clopin! What the hell? You're supposed to get mad and storm off!" Taylor shouted, waving her arms like some madman. She then recoiled a bit as she realized she had revealed herself. "Dammit."

Puck's jaw nearly fell open at Taylor's entrance, his eyes narrowing in anger. Did she always have to try and do things like this? It was bad enough what had happened in class the other day; now she was spying on them?! "Taylor! What the hell?!"
Jareth raised an eyebrow at the girl, but acted as though he wasn't really affected. At Clopin's incentive, however, the Goblin King frowned slightly. "Now, wait just a moment. I wouldn't exactly call this a 'breaking point'. Especially if Puck knew-" Jareth stopped himself, shaking his head as though what he'd been about to say was nothing.
"Anyway, this could have happened to anyone. Especially when someone like me is the center of affection," Jareth sighed, as if this was an issue he frequently fell victim to. "Puck is merely not used to seeing someone such as me, someone who...well, looks as though he might serve many a young fae's fantasies," the king chuckled.

Clopin frowned a little as he looked straight into Jareth's multi-colored eyes. "I beg to differ, monsieur. At this point, I could care less. There's been worse situations than this." Clopin said, before turning to Taylor. "And with you, I am disgusted. At this point, I should be hanging you, but not without the Warden coming after me for it." he growled. "Whatever the issue is, I advise that it be taken care of immediately, before Puck must be put on a leash of sorts." Clopin said.

Puck's eye began to twitch slightly at Jareth's explanation of his predicament, trying to ignore the thoughts that wanted to form at that incentive. Jareth noticed this, and laughed, putting an arm around Puck's shoulder in a playful manner.
"I wholeheartedly agree to that," the fae said, shaking his head. "And I believe that I shall be the one to do it. I don't think that Puck will be quite so focused in mythology from now on, as I don't think that he'd like to get into a relationship with his cousin."
Puck blinked at this, frowning. Wait, what? From what Puck had learned of in class, Jareth wasn't even human; he was some kind of elf or fairy or something. Then, if they were related(ew), then...what did that make him?
"Erm, excuse me...what?"

Clopin's jaw nearly dropped, as his eyes darted from Puck to Jareth. His cousin? And Puck had hopelessly fallen for him? That was...impressive, in the least. "I must say, monsieur, that's quite interesting. Why didn't you tell him sooner, so that this whole predicament could have been avoided? I don't think Puck is interested in such relationships." Clopin said with a smirk.

Jareth chuckled, casting his eyes over Puck and Clopin momentarily. "Well, to be honest...I didn't think that he'd want to know. But after this..." the king gestured between he and Puck. "...I figured that it would be best if he learned the truth."
"I most certainly am not interested in such relationships," Puck sputtered, still blushing like a fiend. God, he didn't even want a relationship with Jareth in the first place...before all of this had been revealed. Puck looked at Jareth with a heavy gaze, uncomfortableness seeping into his next tone. "Wait, wait...if you're not human, then...what does that make me?"
Jareth smiled. "I am indeed "un-human", as it were. I am a fae...and you, Robin Puck Goodfellow, are as well," Jareth frowned for a moment, then added, "Well, a fraction of one, at least."
Puck's eyes widened. Well...this was...unexpected, to say the least... "A...a fae? As in, the Shakespeare kind?" Puck asked carefully, to which Jareth nodded with a smirk.

Now it was Taylor and Clopin's turn for their jaws to drop. "Wait..wha?! And I thought unicorns were the extent of magic here!" Taylor exclaimed. Her look of shock then turned to a malicious grin. "On second thought..that gives me a new nickname to call you." she said. Clopin's expression remained, as he looked to Puck. "And here I was, thinking you knew what the hell you were." he said.
As the situation continued, a pair of yellow eyes with blue eyelashes contently watched the computer screen. Vriska Serket, or as she liked to be called on Flarp, Marquise Spinneret Mindfang, had somehow managed to access Trollian via the computer in her dorm. The dorm used to be clean, at least, until she got there. Now, it looked a lot like her old hive back on Alternia; the floor was strewn with dice and 8-balls, not to mention spiderwebs. Just to her liking.
Trollian was up and running as usual, with a viewport so that she could see what was going on. As of the moment, she had managed to access one of the school cameras in the Courtyard, and it was there that she could spy without being caught. But why had she chosen to listen in on these four? Was it boredom? Most likely.
"8luh...can't these human dum8asses do anything else 8ut shout at each other? Man, and I thought living their life would 8e easy." Vriska mused to herself.

Puck narrowed his eyes in Taylor's direction for a moment, choosing to hold back a retort for the moment. But...how was this possible? He was human born; that much he knew. He highly doubted Oberon and Titania to have one speck of magic blood in them...then again, he could always be wrong...
"My first were these," Jareth said matter-of-factly, running his hand over the ridge of Puck's ear. "They're...unusually large, to say the least. Not to mention the tapered ends..." Jareth continued to look the boy over, circling him now with his hands behind his back. "Your natural adeptivity to magic also gave a clue. Your butler, Grell, told me of the unicorn 'Bob'." The goblin king turned to Taylor, nodding at her original input.
"I learned from Grell everything that had happened to you in the past year, and from then on made my assumptions. Naturally, it wasn't too difficult to get the information from the shinigami," Jareth chuckled. "Much like you, he was putty in my hands."
Puck reddened once again, but shook his head. "But that still doesn't explain just how I am a fae. My parents are both human, so how-"
"Ah, yes...Oberon and Titania. Now, what are their last names?" Jareth smiled, and a look of sudden realization swept over Puck. "Exactly. Fae. That was not a mistaken birthname. They are direct descendants of the Faery King and Queen...my parents. And since you are descended from Oberon...you are part fae."
