Name: Envy
Age: Appears to be a teen/young adult, though he's around 175 years old.
Gender: Genderless (In the 2003 anime, his original form was male, but in the other versions, including the original, his exact gender is unknown. In the manga and anime, Envy is regarded as a ‘he’, though in some Full Metal Alchemists books, Envy is regarded as female.)
Height: 5’7
Weight: 135 lbs
Physical Appearance:
Picture:
Personality: Envy is a very sadistic homunculus, one of the most evil homunculi to appear in the series. Not only does he kill/maim others without hesitation or remorse, but he often turns other against each other, just for his own enjoyment. He tends to either laugh or joke whenever seeing others in pain. While Envy isn’t as intelligent as Lust or Pride, he’s smarter than the average human and takes the role of spy. His main downfall is his violent temper and arrogance. He underestimates humans, and while some are indeed incapable, belittling his enemies may be his downfall.
History: (I’m going to go by the 2003 version of FMA, since I’m most familiar with the version.)
Homunculi in the 2003 version, are based on failed Human Transmutations intended to bring the dead back to life. Hohenheim tried to revive his son he had with Dante, who died from mercury poisoning. The transmutation appeared to have failed and Hohenheim eventually left Dante. Envy was nurtured by Dante, and took on a different appearance than his original human form. Because Hohenheim abandoned his mother and never recognized Envy as his son, Envy had held a strong hatred against his father, and later learned to hate Hohenheim’s ‘new’ sons, Edward Elric and Alphonse Elric. Hence the very reason he is called ‘Envy’, since his negative actions against the Elric brothers are driven by jealousy. He later learned the Elric brothers possessed the stone and would soon regain all the lost, which caused Envy to hate them even more.
Throughout the series, Envy had served as Dante’s henchman and even made acquaintances with Lust, Wrath, Gluttony, and Sloth. Though he seems to get along relatively well with his ‘friends’ he seems to show no concern when one of them is harmed/killed. When Lust was being tried for treachery and pinned against the wall by blades, he seems to not take much notice of her, even though they shared many scenes in the past. He used his powers to transform into anything or anyone he wants, which opened many doors for Dante and the Homonculi. Though Dante promised the Homonculi that she would make them all human, it was really just an empty promise. Envy knows this, yet he doesn’t seem to mind serving Dante anyway, since humanity wasn’t something he regarded too highly.
Edward managed to foil Envy’s disguises, until Envy revealed his true form to Edward. While a shocked Edward learned that Envy was once his brother, the Homonculi took advantage of Edward’s distraction and successfully killed him. Envy transported to the gate, which was Alphonse's doing, and met up with Edward once again. Learning Hohenheim was still alive at the other side of the gate from Edward, an enraged Envy forced the gate open and went inside the doors. The creatures inside attacked Envy and tore at his skin, but he managed to fend them off by transforming into Edward, then to his original human form. By the time he reached the other side, Envy transformed into a large serpentine dragon. Two years later, Envy was captured by the Thule Society, who intended to use Envy to open a physical Gate and transfer their soldiers to the other side. Hohenheim was also captured and placed inside Envy’s mouth (who was still in his serpentine form) to keep the monster calm. Envy escaped and took shelter in an abandoned castle, but was recaptured after encountering Ed. Hohenheim commits suicide by forcing Envy to crush him with his jaws. Envy is then used to open the gate and finally died. Or did he?
Somehow, Envy was resurrected and found himself in front of the school. Wishing to gain the school for personal use, Envy admitted himself as a student and currently plots against the faculty, while playing the role of a bully to the younger classmates.

Peace or Power: POWER
Sample Post:
Envy yawned and put his feet up on the desk, while the teacher continued speaking in a monotone voice, pointing his rule at a math problem. Ew, math. Envy hated math, but then again, he hated learning. As far as the homunculi was concerned, he knew everything he needed to know. He couldn’t understand how any human could be interested in this crap. Honestly, this made him want to stab his eyes out with pencils. That was how bad the lesson was.
The homunculi glanced at the student next to him. The boy was fast asleep, snoring lightly, much to the surrounding student’s annoyance. A few loose papers hung over the edge of the student’s desk, as if threatening to fall to the floor, should the boy be disturbed from his slumber. Envy casually plucked the sheets of paper off the boy’s desk, not giving a damn if anyone seen him. Envy looked over the sheets and discarded previous test papers (all marked with ‘F’s) by throwing them to the desk behind him. The desk’s owner began to complain, but Envy ignored her. Finally, he came across a love not, or rather a half-written one. Envy’s face twisted in disgust. Love is an inky thing, but this human’s choice of words was disgraceful, even to his fellow species. Suddenly, a strange smile formed across the homunculi’s face and he gave an obnoxious laugh.
The teacher turned around and glared at Envy. “Something, you would like to share with us?” he asked in an annoyed tone of voice.
Envy played innocent. “Oh! Um….” the homunculi held the paper close to his chest with a worried look on his face. “It’s personal.”
“Nonsense.” the teacher walked over and grabbed the paper. As he headed to the front of the class to read it, Envy struggled to keep a straight face.
“My darling, my darling-” The teacher read. “Come down from your home, unlock the door and invite me in so that I may-” Teacher snorted and continued to the next sentence. The students began to laugh at Envy, while the homunculi said nothing. “-Your blonde hair, golden like a fresh plate of spaghetti-” the students were howling. “-your eyes, brown like the meatballs toppled against the red, red sauce-” As the teacher continued reading, the student who had written the love note, woke up from the sound of the student’s laughing. Once he realized what the teacher was reading, the blood drained from his face. “-please go out with me, I am desperate for you. Signed-” The teacher gasped, realizing Envy wasn’t the one who wrote the note. “-Bob.”
Envy burst out laughing, along with the other students. Bob would never be able to show his face again.
Maybe math class wasn't so horrible after all.
