Gray was sitting by the fountain. He was playing with it by freezing small parts of the water, then watching them melt. He didn't have many new friends yet. He had his friends from Fairy Tail, and he had met a girl once before. 'Hinata was her name?' he thought. Maybe they could be friends if he happened to run into her again.

Hinata walked across the courtyard with a tiny smile on her face. She had just gotten a good grade on her last assignment so she had a reason to be happy. Kiki was obviously busy so she had nothing else better to do but take a walk to the courtyard. 'There's that boy...gray was it?' she thought

He was in luck! That Hinata girl had entered the courtyard. He might as well meet her right? He had nothing else to do but play with fountain water, wich was not very entertaining. So he walked up to the girl,
"Hinata, was it?" he asked.

"Y-yes." Hinata said with a smile. "and you are Gray right?" she asked. She hoped that she had gotten the boy's name right, it wouldn't be the first time that she had forgotten a boy's name. She was hoping that she wouldn't faint

"Sure is!" he smiled and put his hand on the back of his head.
"So what brings you to the courtyard?" he didn't notice that it was a stupid question, as she and him both went to the same school, so why wouldn't they go in the courtyard with absalutely no reason once and a while.

Hinata blushed. "Oh...well i am on my free period right now, so i didn't really want to spend it in my room reading." she said with a smile. "I thought that i would come out here." she smiled.

"Free periods aren't fun if you spend them alone" he laughed.
"So, do you really know anybody here? I just basically know you, and my friends from fairy tail. I haven't really met anyone else." he looked over at the flowers. They were pretty especially the ones that were all year around, and could withstand frost that comes on the ground in the winter time.

Hinata smiled. "Yes...i suppose you are right." she replied. "I only know my roommate Kiki and my old classmate Naruto. and you." she said. "Oh, and Blood Dupre. but that's about it." she looked at the flowers before turning back to Gray. "So. what are your fairy tail friends like."

"Very different. Natsu and I are always fighting. But he's more of a brother to me then an enemy if you know what I mean. Erza is tough, and to be honest, she scares me a little. Lucy is mostley fun and carefree. And well, Happy is well, happy!" he laughed. His friends all seemed like opposites when he explained them.

"Wow, they sound so much like my old friends back home." she said with a smile. "Naruto and Natsu would probably get along, he is always yelling and talking about how great he will be." she blushed. "He kind of influenced me to be stronger."

"Then they would make great friends!" he laughed. "So where are you from then?" he asked her. "And just a question, what is your favorite subject? Mine's either combat or weaponry. Weaponry is kind of hard because I can't use my powers at all, and have to use the weapon instead. But it is still fun"

Hinata smiled. "I'm from this placed called the Hidden Leaf Village." she said. "It's pretty nice there but its not as pretty." she thought for a moment. "I guess my favorite subject would have to be dance. i just like the feeling of moving my feet."

"I hear it takes skill to dance" he sighed, he had never really tried to dance.
"For the most part I've heard your either cordinated and can dance, or incredibly un cordinated and can't dance at all!" he laughed.

Hinata smiled. "I suppose that's true. but i have had a little pratice a long time ago. I just wanted to get back into things." she said with a smile. "So....how are things going in combat going?" she wanted to make conversation with this nice boy. She only hoped that she wouldn't faint

"Pretty good. I heard to kids got in a fight and have to clean up the Combat room as a punishmen, so at least it will be really clean hopefully!" he said optimistically. He liked this girl, she was really nice he hoped that someday they could be at least friends. It would be nice to get a break from all his other friends for a change.
