Play in the snow? Helen enjoyed the sound of that. "When we get home, me and Flora are going to go play in the snow then." Helen stated. Nobody was taking her away from the snow. Unless it was time for hot chocolate. Or tea, true, Helen did enjoy tea. Odd child she was. Well, odd teenager anyways.
"Well, we should hurry then shouldn't we?" Professor Layton said with a smile, continuing to walk in the puffy snow. "You don't want to miss playing in the snow, do you?" Of course they wouldn't. It hardly ever snowed in London!

Claire walked by Hershel, "There so young, and innocent" she smiled, until they reached home. "You girls start playing in the snow, I'll get some hot chocolate and some hot tea ready so you can have it when your done" she smiled, this was a good expirience for Flora, and Helen. Well, all of them. Her and Hershel as well.

"Yes, they certainly are." Professor Layton said as he looked at Claire. Then again, neither had a very easy childhood. They might as well enjoy what little was left of their childhood to come. If Hershel Layton thought about it, he didn't blame them for playing in the snow at the ages they were.
"Right then. Let's get some snow forts built, Flora." Helen said with a grin shining on her face. Snowball war was what she was thinking. She had done things like that when she had the chance to go outside when she was younger. Alongside her team, she would beat the other team.

Claire entered the house and started boiling some water, watching the two play. "They look like they're really having fun" she said pulling out some hot chocolate mix and some different flavored tea bags for them to choose from when they came back inside.

"Claire, would you mind making me a cup of tea?" Hershel Layton asked, looking at the tea bags that were laid out. Professor Layton certainly loved tea. Some thought he loved tea more than his own daughter.
"Now, launch the attack." Helen yelled, beginning to throw snowballs at Flora, who did the same. Hopefully Hershel and Claire wouldn't stop them anytime soon.

"Of course Hershel. What type would you like?" she said pouring the hot water into a mug for him to drink out of. As she looked out the window she laughed at the kids playing.

"Belle Classic of course, dear." Hershel Layton said. "Perhaps ten years have been long since..." Professor Layton stopped himself. It wouldn't be like a gentleman to say anything about Claire's death. And Hershel didn't want to think about it. He was already reminded by Helen's shining face before he had found Claire once again at the school. He seemed quite oblivious to the fact that Helen and Flora were having a snowball fight right outside at his window. Until Claire looked outside, of course. His beady eyes looked outside a smile coming to his face.
They're having fun. Look at them. Hershel thought as he looked at the girls.

She gigged at the thought of how she foregot his favorite tea. "How could I foreget? I guess it really has been a long time" she sighed. As much as she wished that so much time had not passed since she had last seen hershel but it had. And she had to deal with it. At least she had him. That and Flora and Helen. She was thankful for them everyday now. She put the Belle Classic tea bag in the mug of hot water and bobbed it up and down. When it was all dissolved she handed the mug over to him. "Be careful and don't burn yourself." she smiled. ((I think you have cured my onelinerness. unless im using my itouch. i cannot type well on that thing!))

"Yes Claire. I won't burn myself. A getnleman never burns himself with tea." Hershel said, taking a seat on a nearby sofa with a small desk beside it. His cup of tea sat there as he looked at Claire. "Claire, I've thought of an amazing puzzle to solve as we wait for the tea to cool down a bit." A puzzle. Yes, that would work to Hershel Layton's advantage. One about tea. He hadn't told a puzzle to Claire in so long. Even longer for her, though. He had seen her last a few years ago, whereas she had to wait more than a decade.

She smiled and poured herself some tea. "A puzzle. I haven't heard that word in so long. A puzzle would be nice" She said walking by the small desk and put her tea down to cool after taking a small sip then sat down by Hershel. "So what is this puzzle you have?" she asked. She was interested to solve a puzzle after so long.

"Right then. A woman was having tea, when she found a fly in it. Disgusted by the bug, and really, who wouldn't be disgusted, she shrieked and called for the waiter to give her a new cup of tea. The waiter returned with a cup of tea. When she tasted, she said the man had brought back the same cup. How did she know?" Professor Layton explained. A puzzle about tea. Not about time. Hershel hated time after it took Claire from him. Of course, being as gentlemanly as he was, he didn't show this hate. ((the answer to the puzzle is that she sweetened the tea!))
