(These are all my sister's. She loves to write, while I prefer to draw. We're the perfect set of twins aren't we?! Anyway, she hopes this is okay. She just read Breaking Dawn yesterday ( I know right!) and loved the idea of them going to a beach!)
The Proposal
Kiki smiled as she looked out her window. Kid raised his eyebrows as he looked at her, sitting on his skateboard, though he had changed it as he grew older. Kiki opened the window and leaned out it, surprised about how warm it was, even though it was nearly Christmas. “Yes? May I help you?” She joked, smiling at him.
“Yeh, can I please have a... what’s the specials today?” He laughed, and held out his hand. “Never mind, I think I’ll take the special I’m looking at to go.” He pulled Kiki gently onto the skateboard when she took his hand and stood up too. He laughed as Kiki hugged him tighter when they started moving, and looked round to her. “I thought you loved flying!” He laughed.
Kiki smiled at him, and kissed him on the cheek. “I do, I just wanted a hug.” She laughed. They were 20 years old and still flying around on skateboards, well and truly head over heels for each other. “So....where are we going?” Kiki asked, grinning excitedly. She knew what today was, this was the day they had first met, 6 years ago at the club. Kid probably remembered this too, and Kiki was surprised that she even remembered what song she had sang that night. “These are my friends, see how they glisten,” She sang, smiling at Kid.
“I’m so glad you remembered what today was,” Kid laughed, looking at Kiki again. “And about your previous question, you’ll see.” He smiled as Kiki closed her eyes, letting the wind rush through her hair. ‘Perfectly symmetrical, and the most beautiful girl on this planet,’ He thought and looked back to where they were going. He could see the sea just ahead, they were almost there.
“We’re here.” He said, jumping off the skateboard. He held Kiki’s waist and helped her down, even though she could jump off the roof of the school without hurting herself, Kid wasn’t going to take any chances, plus he was just being polite.
“Aw! You should have told me we were going to the beach! I would have changed!” Kiki laughed, and noticed she and Kid were wearing almost exactly the same thing, blue denim jeans and a white shirt. “Oh, then I guess I’m fine.” She said, and pointed to Kid, then herself.
They both walked to the empty beach, hand in hand. The moon shined off the water; it was calming, the sound and the sight. They sat down and talked for a few minutes, before getting up and running around, kicking sand at each other playfully. Kid sat down and gasped as Kiki kicked sand at his back. He turned around and grabbed her leg, pulling her down on the sand playfully. She laughed and lay down on the ground, closing her eyes. “Hello? Anyone home?” Kid asked, knocking lightly on Kiki’s forehead. “Nope, we’re all away on holiday,” She played along, covering her face with her hands.
Kid looked down at her and smiled; he then reached into his pocket and pulled out a box. “Kiki, stand up for a second.” He said, pulling her hands away from her face. He laughed at the confused expression and smiled as she stood up, shaking sand out her hair. “Okay...I’m standing, what now?” She then gasped as she looked down at Kid, who was on one knee in front of her. Tears sprung to her eyes, but they were happy tears. She could barely hear Kid ask the question because her head was screaming ‘Yes!’ She smiled and nodded, saying ‘yes’ over and over. Kid smiled and put the ring on her finger. Kiki looked at it, and smiled at Kid, who was standing in front of her. She hugged him and kissed his lips. She squealed happily and hugged Kid again, her legs shaking with excitement. As they pulled away Kiki touched her necklace, the one Kid gave her all those years ago. “I still have it.” She laughed.
“I noticed,” Kid said, taking Kiki’s left hand, the hand with the ring. They smiled at each other, foreheads touching. They stood like that for a few minutes, looking into each others eyes.
