Shadows of love

[Lotti]

Lotti suddenly realized what happened. She kissed Facilier. Yet, she didn't pull back just then. She stood there for a moment, slowly pulling herself away from Facilier. It wasn't the smartest choice to make on a date like this one.

[Dr. Facilier]

Facilier stopped and looked at lotti and gave a grin saying "You completely amaze me"

[Lotti]

"Why, thanks sugar." Lotti said with her cheeks pink and warm. Nervous? Quite a bit. She had never gotten past marriage in her last relationship, could she even start another one?

[Dr. Facilier]

Facilier took lotti and said "Let's get goin', I got to show you a big surprise" He said with a wink, but still dazed over that kiss. As they left the restaurant and went back to facilier's dorm. He gave her a grin and said "Take a seat and get ready for a little story"

[Lotti]

Surprises? Well, Lotti did enjoy surprises. Unless it was like the flase Naveen surprise. As Lotti sat down, her bright blue eyes watched Facilier, wondering what the surprise would be.

[Dr. Facilier]

He got a deck of cards and gave her the choice to pick three each. He said "I'm going to tell you your fortune and then do a little more later"

[Lotti]

"My foturne? What's my fortune?" Lotti asked, watching the cards intently. What did the cards have to do with this? Lotti chose three anyways. She didn't look on the back, not wanting some magic trick ruined.

[Dr. Facilier]

"You'll see" Facilier shuffled the cards and the first one showed her in all gold. "Well, this says you were raised in a rich family and you were loved by men and evived by women" He went to the second card and this showed lotti getting married to naveen. "This here shows you were going to marry naveen but we know that didn't really happen" He then showed a future card which showed her surounded in a heart surrounding backround "Well, you'll fall in love with somebody and will have many enjoyable memories with that person" Facilier liked that card especially, because he wanted to be that someone.

[Lotti]

Was it true? Well, certainly the first two were true. But what about that last one? Lotti wished she could know, but it was the future. Word was, when a woman went to the future, she faced death. And left behind a daughter that attended the school. Lotti certainly didn't want to die. "I'll fall in love with someone?" Lotti mused dreamily.

[Dr. Facilier]

"yep, the cards never lie" Facilier answered. Then facilier stood up and held lotti's hand "Ready for another surprise?"

[Lotti]

"Why, of course I am." Lotti said, a smile beaming on her face now. Facilier had nice surprises. Sort of. The present card wasn't too great, but she loved the future one.

[Dr. Facilier]

He blew pink powder all over the both of them, and they were suddenly surrounded by a beautiful park afmosphere with a big lake. He sat down on a picnic mat where there were two glasses of red wine. Facilier smiled and said "Surprise"

[Lotti]

Lotti gasped with surprise at the scene. Park? Lake? It was as if Lotti was dreaming today. Maybe she really WAS daydreaming at the moment. "Oh, my, this is certainly beautiful Facilier darlin'!" she said as she looked around at the park.

[Dr. Facilier]

Facilier just smiled and sipped his wine as lotti took a look at the park. He intended for lotti to enjoy this so this was yet another sucess on magic. Facilier just waited til lotti was going to sit down. But he said to her "I had a feeling you'd like this"

[Lotti]

"Like it?" Lotti asked as she sat beside Facilier, taking her own glass. "I love it!" She took a sip of her wine, smiling at the view of the lake. It was so pretty, and really popped out to Lotti. She loved it so much to be at this place. Yet, was it even really there? It didn't matter to her. It was beautiful and that's all Lotti needed to know.
