"Good choice. I heard it's one of the best." Clopin said, as the waitress came back with their drinks. She set a tall wine glass down in front of Clopin, and the water in front of Puck. "There you go, monsieurs. Now then, are you two ready to order?" she asked.
Clopin nodded, as he took one last look at the menu. "I'll have the lightly cooked scallops with potatoes." Clopin said, as he turned to Puck. "For him, he wants an eggplant salad." he said. The waitress nodded, and wrote down their orders before walking off. Clopin smiled as he looked around at the decor. "Puck, did you know that this restaurant's decor was inspired by the palace at Versailles? And if you look out the window there, you can see the Tulieres Garden." he said, as he turned back to Puck.

Puck glanced towards the window to which Clopin was referring, raising an eyebrow. "How interesting...it's quite nice," Puck smiled, looking back around him at the decor. Leaning forward on his elbows, he looked back at Clopin curiously for a moment. "Do you always read up on the history of the restaurants we eat at?" He teased, giving a smirk.

"I've known the history." Clopin said with a laugh. "I've made a few good friends through time-travel, and they've told me about Versailles. Other than that, I would have never known." he said, as he took a sip of his wine.

Fidling with the scratchy collar of his purple shirt, Puck frowned slightly. He disliked dressing up, though he knew that it was only appropriate with this sort of atmosphere. He highly suspected that Clopin was feeling the same about his suit, but decided not to show it. Before Puck could say anything, however, the waitress returned with their food. "Will there be anything else?" She smiled sweetly.

"No, but thank you very much, madamoiselle." Clopin said, smiling back at her. He then turned back to Puck, as he stabbed a fork into one of the scallops. "You don't like dressing up, do you?" Clopin asked nonchalantly.

"How'd you know?" Puck rolled his eyes, smiling as he began to eat his own salad. He was a bit surprised by the flavor. It was quite good, actually, better than most salads he had eaten before. And in Paris, that was hard to beat. "But I don't think that you like it much either," Puck grinned, eying the gypsy. "Unless it's a special occasion." He added, a bit of suspicion in his tone. What was Clopin doing all this for?

"Because...after living with you for quite some time, I got used to your mannerisms." Clopin said, as he continued eating innocently. The scallops were wonderfully cooked, and so were the potatoes. "You're right. Dressing up isn't much of my thing. I'd rather stay in my normal clothes." Clopin said with a grin. "And it's definitely a special occasion. But that's all I'm telling you." he said.

Puck frowned slightly, still highly puzzled about the whole situation. Shaking his head, he continued to eat his salad, finishing it quickly, as he was a fast eater. Clopin was right about one thing; living together for a long time did familiarize them with each others habits. And he knew that Clopin was hiding something. He also knew that Clopin wasn't going to tell him what it was, regardless of how much he asked. "I must admit, you certainly know how to be romantic," Puck said, resting his chin on the back of his hands. "But i already knew that." He added with a smile.

Clopin shook his head with a smile. If only Puck knew... he thought, as he finished up his scallops. Clopin then looked back up to face the fae, drinking a little more of his wine. "Well, this restaurant is definitely what I expected. Wonderful cuisine and a beautiful interior." Clopin said, looking around. It took every ounce of power he had not to just jump up and run, out of excitement. Soon, soon... he thought.

Why is he so jumpy? Puck couldn't help but think as he watched the gypsy. He seemed to be having trouble keeping still. Of course, Clopin was never one to remain in the same position for long periods of time. Smirking, he reached across the table to hold Clopin's hand for a moment. "Well, it's certainly a nice change of pace," he looked back at the other with a smile.

Clopin nearly jumped right then, but settled down a bit as Puck spoke. "It certainly is. I never thought it would be this amazing, honestly." he said, biting his lip a little as he tried to calm himself down, while mentally preparing for his next "act". With his free hand, he took another sip of the wine, and sat there for a bit, looking back at Puck with a grin.

The corner of Puck's mouthed raised into a smirk, mirroring the other's expression. "Something wrong, Clopin?" He questioned, a bit of concern to his tone. "You seem a bit excited this evening. Well, more than usual," he finished as he looked back into the gypsy's eyes.

"Oh, it's nothing. Really. I'm just excited that the reservation worked out." Clopin said quickly, as he grinned back at Puck. "And do I always seem excited to you?" he asked with a laugh.

"Quite honestly, yes," Puck chuckled. "But it's an admirable quality." Puck sat back, looking around at the restaurant. It truly was a magnificent place, and the food was delicious. Clopin was up to something, though Puck had no idea what. But whatever it was, he had certainly picked a wonderful place to do something at.

Clopin stood up for a second, before turning to Puck. "I'll be right back. I have to make a special dessert request with the cook." he said with a wink, before walking off. As soon as the gypsy turned the corner, he ran straight into the person he needed to find. "Monsieur Laroche, get everyone ready." Clopin said, before continuing on in French. Unknowingly to Puck, Clopin had gone through a ton of trouble for this night. Everything had to be perfect. He just hoped that the other would be genuinely surprised.
