This is where I'll be posting my awfully short chapters for Taylor/Clopin's backstories. However, I started off with Taylor's, a few months after her arrest. She's still pretty cynical of the world around her, and quite jaded.
Anyway, here's Chapter 1!
Back where I come from, I'm coming home...
It had been a few months since Taylor's arrest. Before she even knew about what had just occurred, she was carried off to some distant place. It hurt her head to even think of it. The brunette shook her head, and sighed as she sat on the cold, lonesome floor of the cell she was detained in. Her orange jumpsuit was really the only thing that could make her smile, for it always clashed with the yellow color of her shoes. Outside, she could hear the other inmates yelling profanities, beating each other up, and in some cases, ripping each other apart.
So much for being a murderer. These guys were worse. Taylor, at only 17 years of age, had stabbed and killed someone. It was her ex-boyfriend, to be exact. He had made a wrong move, and it caused to her freak out, having no recollection of what happened. However, when she was in court, she had been told of her crime, and she pleaded guilty.
"Hey, are y'all okay in there?" a voice said, from outside of her cell. Taylor immediately snapped out of her thoughts, and looked to see who was speaking. She half-expected Alice to be there, but the butch prison guard was nowhere to be found. In front of her cell stood a white unicorn, about the same height as a full-grown Arabian horse. I have to be dreaming. There are no such things as unicorns! Taylor thought. From what she could see, it had a messy pink mane, with pink hooves, and a hell of a long tail. The girl raised an eyebrow as she walked over to the unicorn.
"And just who are you?" Taylor asked cautiously. The unicorn laughed, and raised his head proudly.
"Why, I am the Warden's pet unicorn, Bob!" the unicorn said. Taylor was unimpressed. This definitely had to be some kind of sick, sick joke. First, she ended up in some jail out in the middle of freaking nowhere, and now she was seeing a unicorn??
"And why are you here?" she asked, glaring at the unicorn as she grabbed the outer bars of her cell. Bob shook his head before looking back up at Taylor.
"The Warden told me to come on down here, and fetch y'all. Says you're a person of interest." Bob said.
"A person of interest? How could a...a...a murderer be a person of interest?" Taylor asked, having a hard time saying that particular word. The unicorn shrugged, and tossed his head back to fix his already messed-up hair. With some odd magical power, the cell door was unlocked, letting Taylor go free for the first time in months.
"FINALLY! See you later, sucker!" Taylor shouted, as she took off running down the hallway. However, something stopped her in her tracks, and brought her back to Bob. The unicorn's horn was glowing with some white hue, as it seemed to be controlling Taylor's every move. She was totally limp as a ragdoll in the air.
"There ain't gonna be any escapees, y'all. Now follow me, and we'll go to the Warden's office." Bob said sternly, as he continued to hold Taylor up in the air behind him, so that she could not run away.
The two ventured out of the room, and out into the open air of the prison yard. Taylor looked around curiously, as she had never been out here before. There was an awful lot of mess around the place, and her instinctive "neat-freak" OCD told her to clean it up, but she couldn't move at all. With a sigh, Taylor continued to let Bob hold her in place.
When the two eventually made it to the Warden's office, Bob finally set Taylor down in front of him, and kicked the door shut. "Here's the girl." Bob said to the Warden. The man clad in purple swiftly turned to face the two in front of his desk.
"Ah, Taylor Ruse. How splendiferous!" he said. Taylor raised an eyebrow at the Warden. If he was the proprietor of this jail, she was sure that that wasn't how he would normally act.
"You wanted to see me?" she asked.
"Yes I did. You see, you're a person of great interest." the Warden said, giving her a malicious gap-toothed smile, as he pulled out a few papers from his desk.
"Says here that you committed one murder, and that's what landed you here. However, Jailbot and Alice both reported that you had only been in regular jail for under an hour before Jailbot took you here. Do you remember any of that?" the Warden asked curiously.
Taylor shook her head. "I can't remember anything after I pleaded guilty to the court." she said. The Warden shook his head.
"Let me rephrase that. Do you know why you're here, in SuperJail?" he asked.
"No."
"You're here not only because of your crime, but because you are...how can I put it...a special asset." the Warden said. Taylor gave him a confused look.
"And what's that supposed to mean?"
Anyway, here's Chapter 1!
