Injuring those you loathe. Henry didn't injure Chemley. Henry didn't attack Marie. Helen wanted to prove otherwise, but knew she couldn't say anything about Henry. Instead, she attempted to keep Clopin from killing the teenage boy. "Everyone makes mistakes. We all have the choice to choose if we want to do the right choice, or the wrong choice. Except for my mother. She had no choice in her final moments but to go back in time to die. If you knew that Hen-" Helen cut herself off. James, not Henry. "If you knew that James would die because of something else you did, would you still hate him?" Maybe Helen was thinking of something she would say to Bill Hawks. If you knew Claire would die because of your machine, would you still let her go?

Helen suspected the answer to be yes. Clopin would be like the bastard that murdered so many innocent people."Bill Hawks. Bill wasn't punished for the deaths he caused. He was rewarded for blowing up several people. Ten or so people died because of him. One of those include my mother." Helen spoke, but paused at the last sentence. A tear rolled down her cheek as she looked back at Clopin. "Then we have James here who only threw one dog in a box. He's alive, isn't he? Why should James suffer the fate of death while Bill killed many people without punishment?"

Helen was starting to understand why this dog was attacked. " Let's take a few seconds to think about this, shall we? My mother was killed without justice, yet you were only injured and this person's price is death. Now, I'm sure you could give him a black eye or something, but Bill Hawks is the one you should be killing. I lived a life of trouble because of Bill. He ruined Henry's life, he ruined my father's life. And yet, no one punishes him. All I ask is that you don't kill James, got it? I'd rather you kill Bill instead."

"Well, maybe you personally might not kill him, but they might. I can't let go of something that reminds me of Henry. So please, can you help with that?" Helen said while more tears ran down her cheeks. "Just... please? I'll take his place in death if I have to. If I lose anything about Henry, again, I might as well die."

"EVERYBODY HANG ON!" Puck said loudly, turning away from James. "Good Lord. ALright, fine, there's no need to cry. I think James, or Henry, or whatever the hell your name is isn't going to bother Garnar anymore. So I don't see much of a reason to kill him. Clopin, what say you?" Puck glanced towards the gypsy. He wasn't so sure that he would agree, but Garnar seemed to be alright now, despite being a bit banged up and flustered.

Holy merciful God. Helen's crying worked when she was above the age of ten. Well, hopefully anyways. She wasn't sure if Clopin would agree or not. She turned her attention to Clopin, hoping he would agree. If not, Helen would probably start telling them all about her terrible life in the orphanage. Then bad things were sure to happen. They would know a terrible secret, and probably tell everybody. She would thank Puck later, maybe tell him a bit more about why she didn't want them to kill James. Or Henry, or whoever he was.

Clopin kept silent, his cold stare penetrating even the strongest of all people. After a long period of silence, the noose disappeared in a puff of smoke, and his dagger was once again sheathed. The gypsy leaned back a little, and crossed his arms. "Fine." he growled. "I won't kill you. If you were Judge Claude Frollo, then you would have been dead two minutes ago. One word of advice kid. Never, EVER, mess with a gypsy. They have ways...and we'll always find a way to get back at you." Clopin snarled. He then turned to Helen. "And what's with you protecting this animal-abuser, eh? I thought you and Layton left! There's a secret behind all this, and I refuse to leave this room until it's told. I'll close the door for further convenience." he said, leaning against the door until it was fully closed. "Now then. Explain."

Why protect an animal abuser? Many reasons if you knew all about Helen, which few people did. "Well sir, you see, I stand up for what I believe in. Now, James here has done something terribly wrong, I can not deny that, but killing someone isn't the best way to get a point across. Like another incident where someone must have killed several people but was not killed himself, only had to go to prison." Helen began to explain. "Of course, we don't have the death penalty, but that's not the point. I heard growling from the door and had to make sure nobody was killed. I couldn't just leave you here."
Secrets. Henry had no choice but to give up his secret now. He took a deep breath and sighed. He wasn't dead, but now he would get in some serious trouble. "Since you spared my life, I owe you an explanation about who I really am. Henry is who I really am." he said before pausing. "Helen and I were best friends since we were two. She was Helen Walter then. Once she found her father, I was adopted by an amazing family. We were orphans, yes, hard life that was." Henry chuckled a bit at that. His life was probably harder now, but he didn't care.
"I was with my sister when it happened. The explosion happened and we had to move away from London. I faked my own death, and was called James Anderson from then on. Once I had fully recovered, though not every memory was recovered, I played football to make it seem like nothing had happened. Dogs would attack me when I had to go to someone's yard to get a football. Not big dogs, though, small ones. Perhaps I feared Garnar would attack me when I wasn't watching. So, I took him here. I'm also sure Helen would rather not have someone that reminds her of her happiness gone, which may be a reason she came. That's the truth if you need it."

Puck listened to their story with a frown. This was getting all the more confusing as things went on. But whatever the case, James...Henry, who ever he was, seemed to be stable now. At least, Puck didn't think that he was going to bother Garnar anymore. "Well, then I suppose that this whole thing has been cleared up. I see no reason to kill him, seeing as how it's not his fault that he went wacko," Puck shrugged. Then his expression turned dark. "But if you ever try to attack another animal again, especially this one, then you'll have me to deal with," Puck spoke sternly to the boy. The junior's inner animal lover was coming out. Sighing, he spoke again. "If anyone's going to kill you today, well, it's not going to be me."
