Name: May Parker
Age: 17
Gender: female
Height: 5’4”
Weight: 135 lbs
Physical Appearance: a well-built, average-sized girl with dark brown hair that hangs just below her shoulders, bright blue eyes. Dresses fashionably but not TOO girly.
Picture: (optional)
Personality: Much like her father, May has a strong sense of responsibility. “With great power comes great responsibility.” And, like her father, she has a tendency to be very hard on herself if she’s unable to help those she cares about/prevent a catastrophe. She’s a good, kind, caring person with a big hard, and while being very friendly amongst those her age, is also more mature than most of them due to her alter-ego as a super-heroine.
History: After the death of her cousin (clone) April, (see summary here: www.comicvine.com/spider-girl-the-end-the-end-of-spidergirl/37-231684/ ) May’s life finally began to….settle down. She started dating her friend Wes, got along much better with her parents, and even spent more time with her little brother, Benjy, as well as become more active with her high school. But the daughter of Spider-man’s work is never done, and eventually, May DID have to don her costume again. More and more frequently, and as time went on, her continuous and abrupt absences from school caught her teachers’ attention, who in turn notified her parents. Knowing the REAL reason May kept leaving school, Peter Parker (the former Spider-man) and Mary Jane sat down with May and tried to come up with a decision on her own. Letting the school know of her powers was out of the question, but May still needed an education….
….Strangely enough, May received an email the following week from an unknown source, and with the email came a link to Animated High’s homepage. At first, May thought it was a joke….and deleted it as junkmail. However, the same thing happened again the next evening, this time addressing her by name. A little alarmed now, May told her parents about it and eventually they decided to follow the directions on the site and see if the school did exist.
Well, of course it did: though it was the strangest school they’d ever seen. So many kids—of all different species and with all different powers—went here….and the teachers themselves were a bit out there.
Long story short, Peter decided this was (For the time being) the best solution to his daughter’s problem: she’d attend school here, living in a secluded environment where she’d be able to use her powers without any real fear of exploitation. That didn’t mean Peter wasn’t paranoid, but he felt it was better than allowing May to continue school in New York. May herself was reluctant to attend—who would clean up crime in her place?—but with enough persuasion from her parents, as well as the realization that there WERE other super-heroes out there—May agreed, and by the end of the month, moved in to Animated High.

Your name is May “Mayday” Parker, and you are the daughter of Spider-man.
But you certainly aren’t feeling like it right now.
After much consideration—and more than enough persuasion from your parents—you’ve given up your webs, given up your friends, boyfriend—your life—and enlisted in a place called “Animated High.” A place far away from everyone and everything you care about….a place you wish, deep down, that you didn’t have to attend.
But you’ve already said yes: already consented to your parents’ pleas. Already signed the forms and packed your bags.
“Dad, really….is that necessary?”
And are already saying goodbye to your family.
“Yes, May,” your father replies, pulling you into another bone-crunching hug. At least, it would have been, had you not ALSO inherited your father’s super-spider-strength.
A shame that doesn’t save her from public, teenage embarrassment.
“Dad, really, it’s my first day here….could you….could you please try not to make a scene?”
The older man exhales, but before he can say anything, your mother chimes in “Oh come now, May! This is a big day for all of us. Saying goodbye to our baby girl like she’s….she’s….” a sniffle “all grown up!”
As if one parent hugging you wasn’t enough, now mom joins in and before you realize it, your trapped between the arms of two adults, and a toddler.
Your name is May “Mayday” Parker….
….and this is going to be one long goodbye….
I tried something different with the sample post: in the spidergirl comics (cuz I know many of you havent read them) each issue is often narrated by May's voice, in the second person, and she always starts/ends an issue with "Your name is May "mayday" Parker."
I wanted to see if I could play as May in the second person....if that's okay with you guys. Or at least, try it out, and see if it works.
