Sing Your Heart Out

"Nice to meet you, Helen," Miku closed her book, and blushed a bit as her eyes made a noise like a camera as she registered the name with the face. She really hoped Helen didn't hear that. "I wish I could have seen you sing. But I don't know if I should...."

[Helen]

Helen really didn't hear anything. Or maybe she did, but just thought it was something on stage. Either way, she didn't pay much attention. "I think you should. You'd probably be great up there, but hey, it's your choice. I already got another person to sing up there today. Besides myself, amazingly."

[hatsunemiku]

"Well I would," Miku sighed, "But I... I'd do better if my duet partner was here and... I don't want to make anyone feel like they aren't good or anything." Miku blushed, biting her lip.

Blood stood up and walked over to some of the other tables to greet the new students. He would take notes on who would be considered to be an ally and who, in fact would be a foe, or someone worth a challenge. Utau would be one for sure but she was more of an enemy.

"You shouldn't spend so much time analyzing stuff Dupre." a voice in his head said. "Enjoy the party."


Blood smiled a tiny smile and took a seat back at Kid and Kiki's table

[Helen]

"I did a duet up there earlier. But I suppose I should give my voice a rest for now." Helen said as she watched Miku. "Again, it's your choice to sing or not. So, are you hoping for some singers to get up there soon? There haven't really been many at the moment."

[hatsunemiku]

"I really do hope so," Miku sighed. She wanted a distraction to keep her from jumping up there and owning the stage.

[Helen]

"If Henry were here he'd probably go up and sing. Terribly. Purposefully." Helen said, a sad smile forming on her lips. She shook her head. Henry wasn't here with her. "He used to do that all the time. I wonder if anyone else is going to do that."

[hatsunemiku]

Miku's eyes darted to the stage. Yeah, Luka wasn't there, but it was so tempting... "Uh, Helen, was it? Do you mind if I go...sing?"

[Helen]

"Go ahead. Sing. We need someone up there singing." Helen said with a smile. "Anyone would do. Heck, even a flying monkey could be singing up there as long as someone was singing." At least this girl would go up and sing, right? Helen wouldn't have to sing. Again.

"I just hope... you don't mind if I sing in my native language," She blushed, bowing to Helen.

[Helen]

"Go ahead. Some songs are really good, just in different languages." Helen said as she looked at Miku with a smile.

Miku walked up to the stage, trying not to let too much of her diva-like behavior as she manipulated the wireless signal from the headphone and microphone set on her head. The waves overrode the soundsystem so she could still dance and not stand there holding a microphone, "Konbanwa! Good evening! My name is Hatsune Miku, and I'm going to sing for you now."

[Helen]

Interested, that's what Helen was when she watched Miku. She wondered what the girl would sing, and if Helen would even understand what she was singing. Helen highly doubted it. She doubted she'd be as good as this girl too, but that didn't matter. After all, she had plentyt of other things she could do too.

Miku's accompnaying music cued in through her headphones to the soundsystem and she struck her opening pose, before singing the same old routine she did last before coming to school.

After performing, Miku disconnected her headphones from the audio system and walked upright back to her table, feeling a rush.
