Well, that was interesting. Helen didn't plan on bringing anyone but Claire with her and Hershel Layton. It would be great to have a friend, but she'd get through with family. "Manhattan? Never been there. Then again, I've only been here and at London." she said with a shrug. "What's it like there?"

What was Manhattan like? Well, that would be easy to explain. "Dirty, crowded, and full of road rage," Puck laughed. "But hey, it's home. Though I'd much rather live in a place like London," Puck smiled. He had visited London before, when his family had all gone on vacation. Of course, it would have been much more enjoyable if his family hadn't been there as well. "The only thing I'm dreading is the 'staying with my family' part," Puck admitted.

Dread to stay with family? Helen couldn't dream of being without her family again. Not again, not another day without her father or Claire, or even Flora. "I'm excited to go back to London. Love it there, not Flora's cooking though." she said. If someone didn't know about Flora's cooking, it'd be wise not to ask what she made. Fish cakes were one of the many things on the list.

Puck tried to stifle a laugh at that. "Really? Her cooking's that bad?" Int truth, he wished that his mother, or maybe even one of his sisters, would take the time to sit and make Christmas dinner, rather than just getting the cook to do it. "Well, I just hope that my parents at least act civil to the rest of the family. It's usually rather difficult for things to go well, what with the fact that I have so many siblings." Puck frowned a bit to himself, trying to remember if the last count was nineteen or twenty.

"I guess I'm lucky I've only got Flora then." Helen said. Although the girl had terrible cooking, she was all Helen had for siblings. She was great to talk to whenever Professor Layton was out teaching back home. She remembered the last Christmas they had together. An amazing one that was, their first Christmas with Flora, Helen and Hershel, everyone was happy. "I hope you survive Christmas, Puck."

Puck laughed. If only Helen knew that he didn't have much choice about whether he "survived" or not... "Oh, I'm sure that I'll manage. After all, I'll have Clopin to keep me company," he smirked. Which reminded him, what about her brother? "Not to pry, Helen, but...what of James? Have you...worked out your situation with him?" Puck frowned with concern.

"Crona," Maka said smiling at the boy, "Merry Christmas." She handed him a small gift, it wasn't much just a pair of mittens, but she knew Crona whould be happy.

What about James? Henry, or so he called himself. Helen had spoke to him the other day, and he seemed to be just fine."I've worked things out with him." she stated. A subject change would be nice just about now. So much like her father when he was young, changing the subject and several other things. "I've heard Luke might be coming up to London as well. He's my dad's apprentice. Well, was his apprentice is perhaps a better way to state it."

Helen apparently didn't want to talk about her "brother", or whoever Henry was. So he replied, "Well, that's certainly interesting. Are you friends with him?" Puck was curious, as Helen had said that Luke "was" Layton's apprentice.

"I don't know him that well. Met him once, but didn't know much about the kid." Helen told Puck. "He used to be the apprentice until he had to leave with his parents, somewhere, don't know where. Away, I suppose?" Of course, Helen was watching cars go by when Hershel told her where exactly Luke had gone.

Puck smirked at her answer, nodding. "I have sort of an 'apprentice' of my own back home," Puck smiled, remembering Alexander Xanatos fondly. "I hope that when we go back that I'll be able to see him." Along with the Gargoyles, he thought to himself, thinking of the family that the Xanatos' lived with.

"Sounds interesting." Helen said. How old was Puck anyways? That question popped into her mind. He had an apprentice, yet he was a student here at high school.

"Well, he was a kid I babysat, anyway," Puck admitted sheepishly. "But his parents wanted me to teach him things, so in a way he was my apprentice." Little did Puck know, Alexander was also the boy's nephew. But of course, to know that, he would have to know that Alexander's mother was his half-sister. Which, of course, he did not. "But anyways, I sincerely hope that you have a wonderful Christmas," Puck smiled brightly. He eyed the hall clock. It was nearly time for him to get back to his dorm, or to Clopin's one.

Well, that made a bit more sense to Helen. Hardly anything made sense to her. "Yes, I hope you have a wonderful Christmas as well, Puck." Helen said with a smile. Maybe she'd get to know Puck better, but then again, perhaps not.

Puck smiled. Of course he would; he would be spending it was Clopin, who doubled as both the best boyfriend in the world and Puck's best friend in the world. Maybe that would make up for the fact that he had to go home. "Well, i should probably be getting back to my dorm soon. I have to rest up for the time zone change," Puck laughed. "But it was nice talking with you, Helen!" ((ooc: Sorry wrong account))
