Kago sighed loudly and went up the stairs after Midori. Not that he had a choice, she was pulling him with her.

The stair way got dark and Midori let go of Kago's hand to make a controlled flame. She looked back and then down at teh flame, "You don't have to come..."

"Alright then," Midori said doubting that he'd actually not complain.
She started up the stairs looking around in the light of the green flame. Looking behind her every once in awhile to make sure Kago hadn't stopped walking and was left in the gloomy black. She paused a few steps up waiting for him to catch up to her.

Kago had been quiet the whole time, mostly cuz he was either looking around or looking at Midori as he walked. He noticed she'd been waiting for him.
"Fine so far, see?" he said with a smile

"I'm still waiting for the complaining," Midori said with a smile, "It's bound to come out soon."
She yelped as the fire sparked a bit out of control. She started freaking out slightly, trying to stop the fire from going towards Kago.

An ember jumped on to Kago's arm and started burning but he barely noticed it, even when the flame started to grow out of control on him. It was like his body was flame retardant, at least to Midori's flames.

"Sorry Kago," Midori said quietly, still unable to control the damn fire.
She looked over and noticed his arm had some of her fire on it. That made her freak out more than normal. She tried to think of what to do with her hands to get the flames to stop but couldn't think of it.

"What? Something the...whoa my arm's on fire!" Kago yelped as he quickly patted it out and looked at his arm. His eyes grew wide as he noticed what was wrong with this image. It didn't even have a burn, not even first degree. And it hadn't hurt at all in the first place.

Midori flinched at his out burst, she'd hurt him. She closed her eyes and shoved her hands in her pockets cutting off the air to the flames. She'd specially made her clothes so they wouldn't burn off her when she lost control. She sank down onto the grimmy steps and sighed.
"Sorry Kago..."

Kago bent down next to her and smiled.
"It's fine. Look, no burn, nothing." he said, showing her his arm

"H-hows that possible?" Midori asked grabbing his arm. She turned it over adn examined it from every possible angle.

Kago was just as confused as her about all this.
"Ya got me, it just didn't hurt. And then I looked, not a scratch." he explained
