Raven shrugged and pushed some of her hair out of her face. This was definatly turning out to be one of the more interesting pasts of her life.

Jericho glanced appreciatively at Raven as she pulled a section of her hair back behind her ear. He wondered if she knew how beautiful she was to him; Heck, he wondered if she even knew of how he felt about her. He stared back out onto the dancefloor, zoning out as he tried to keep himself from thinking only about her.
The valentine's day theme was not helping.
That is, until the CD changed to a new song and "All You Need Is Love" by the Beatles began playing on the speakers. Joseph had an immense fondness for this song and even the playing of it moved him to dance. And so, he stepped into a more open section between the tables and began a simple square step, his arms holding an invisible partner as he danced passionately around the small space. But after only the first verse, he opened his brilliant green eyes and offered a hand to Raven.

Two-Tone walked into the party looking around "Wow, this is all pretty romantic in here. I bet love is in the air here." She said wagging her tail

Raven watched Jerico dance smiling slightly to herself. Though when he offered her his hand she hesitated for a second before taking it. She was never one for dancing, or feeling whatever emotion she was right now. Could it be she was feeling love for Jerico?

Raven watched Jerico dance smiling slightly to herself. Though when he offered her his hand she hesitated for a second before taking it. She was never one for dancing, or feeling whatever emotion she was right now. Could it be she was feeling love for Jerico? The blond smiled gratefully at her acceptance. His leading hand took Raven's own and his left hand rested gently on her hips. He moved more slowly this time, guiding her through the simple four-step. Whether or not he realized it, he kept smiling. This song, his art, dancing, playing, creating, meant so much to him; to share it with Raven was....beyond belief. She was beautiful, strong, independent, and intelligent; more than that, she was strong-willed, capable, understanding and trustworthy. Young though he was, Joseph was certain that she was who he wanted to stay with. |

Raven rested her free hand on Jerico's shoulder, she wasn't use to dancing and kept her eyes trained on the ground. Watching their feet to be sure she didn't step on his. Jerico's actions supriseed her and warmed her long cold heart. something she never thought was possible, yet with him she seemed to be happier at least on the inside.

The world began spinning when the dark-haired titaness laid her hand on Joseph's shoulder. The rest of the world became merely a kaleidoscope of red and pink compared to the woman in front of him, the dancing of their feet, the flow of her hair. His heart was racing. His skin was hot and tingling with adrenaline. That he felt like he was in combat would not be a bad metaphor, except that the feelings were the exact opposite. A slight misstep on Raven's part made him smile a little wider. He wanted to remind her that she could just levitate, but to tell her would mean moving his hands and stopping the dance: sacrelige. So he simply continued smiling. Nothing else mattered; not that there were others in the room, not that the song changed as they moved around in their own circle, their own world. (P.S. Raven stole a small glance up at the bonde haired titan, he was smiling, something that seemed to make her heartrate pick up. She wished he would sign to her so she could know what he was thinking, but something was telling her that he didn't want to. The dark-haired teen didn't even notice the song change, let alone that she could actually just levitate around. She was actually enjoying dancing with Jerico. The corners of her mouth turned up into a small smile.

It was the smile that made him melt. It made him want to kiss her and bury his face in her neck and hug her close to him just to show the world that she had smiled at him! Raven had smiled at Joseph Wilson! But he had better self-control and common sense than that. He was more of a gentleman than to force himself on a lady, even if her smile was so beguiling.
Eventually the song faded away into the background and Jericho forced himself to let go of her hand. He stepped back and bowed deeply to the titaness, signing reverently, Thank you for being such a beautiful dance partner.

Raven almost laughed, a beautiful dance partner, she couldn't even hold a beat. She nodded slightly to Jerico, willing the alien feeling away from her. It literally was intoxicating her, making her want to be closer to the titan in front of her. She had an urge to kiss the blonde and hand to hold herself back by repeating her montra in her head.

Jericho's eyes happened to take in the clock on the wall and he realized with a start that he had already been here for an hour and a half; late enough that he should return to his dorm soon. Not to mention that Raven had already expressed her desire to leave, though he had convinced her to stay once. Still, he thought as he sighed soundlessly, tonight had been one of the best of his life and certainly a memorable one. He smiled kindly at the titaness. I'm going to go back to my dorm. If you're returning as well, may I escort you back to your room?

She accepted his offer without hesitation, which stunned him. That Raven was opening up to him could no longer be discounted as a wishful interpretation on his part. His heart thrummed strongly in his chest as he offered an arm to her, just as in the olden days. He was happy just to be with the sorceress; she was good company and always spoke intelligently when she did speak. She had, in the past, accomodated his preference for listening and continually provoked his curiosity with her passion for novels.
In all honesty, he would be happy just dancing with Raven. Just dancing was all he would ever need.

Raven took his arms and gave him a fleeting smile. She was glad they where leaving the pink nightmare, but at the same time she found herself wishing the night wouldn't end.
