Puzzling Archeology

[Professor Layton]

The students would be arriving anytime soon. Helen had already come in, then classes switched. Professor Hershel Layton waited for the students to be coming in anytime soon. He was sitting at his desk, taking another sip of tea. They had around five minutes to be coming in, or be tardy.

[Lucky]

Lucky trotted in and went to his seat. He waited for others to show up. Lucky was enjoying school so far and liked hanging out with Two-Tone and Rainbow Dash.

((How far would I be stretching reality if I had Shute show up in this class as well?))

[Professor Layton]

((You could bring him in. We could have this class before Facilier's.))
A dalmatian? Huh. Something Professor Layton didn't expect. Another sip of tea went down his throat. He looked at Lucky for a while. "Hello, er, Lucky is it?" Professor Layton said as he looked at the puppy. He had seen the dog's name looking over the list, and he assumed that was who this dog was.

[Lucky]

Lucky nodded. "Yep, that's my name!" he said as he wagged his tail. He liked this teacher because he seemed normal, much like Roger was.

[Faye]

Faye walked in casually, looking around from the Dalmatian to the girl to her Professor, and back through once more. This was an odd group, but she'd have to work through it. Archeology actually seemed a bit interesting. Or hopefully, it would be interesting. She didn't know. Faye took a seat in the middle of the classroom; not too close to the front, not too near the back. She didn't want to be noticed by the teacher, yet wanted to be present at the same time. Faye smirked. Hopefully, this would be an easy ride.

[Professor Layton]

Was Professor Layton turning into Luke, or did Lucky just talk? It wasn't a surprise since he had already heard ponies talk and unicorns. That was very strange. Nothing here was like the London he knew, but Lucky seemed fine. Unlike the ponies. "Good to know that. You're on time, perhaps the others might not be so lucky." the archeology teacher said as he looked at the dalmatian. "Or perhaps not. Miss, what's your name?" Layton turned his attention from the dog to Faye at that moment.

[Shute]

There was a knock on the door, and Shute's distinctive hairstyle came into view as he entered the room, backpack slung over one shoulder. "Is this the archeology class, or have I walked into the wrong room again?"

[Professor Layton]

"Yes, this is the archeology class." Professor Layton said as he looked at Shute. Students seemed to be filling in now. Shute had gotten into the right room. It appeared he didn't get the right room often since he asked if he walked into the wrong room. Again.

[Shute]

The boy grinned. "Good. My name is Shute. Sorry if I'm late." He walked farther into the room, stowing his backpack under a chair and sitting down.

[Faye]

Faye turned around, hearing the Professor trying to get her attention. "My name?" she asked, repeating his question. "My name is Faye Valentine." Faye smiled politely, which was a bit unlike her. She might as well try to make a good impression on the teacher, for all it was worth.

Then, she heard it. A voice, an actual voice, coming from the Dalmatian. That was strange. She had never heard a dog speak before. She knew that Ein had had the mental capacity and intelligence to speak, but he never did so.

[Professor Layton]

Shute. He wasn't late at least. "Oh no my boy, you're not late. In a few seconds some people may be late though." Professor Layton said as he looked at Shute, then at the clock, then at Faye. Now whoever came in was going to be late. "Now, class has begun. Today we'll be looking at page 32 in our books." The professor grabbed books, passing them out to the students.

[Lucky]

Lucky opened the book with his muzzle and used his paws to get to the right page. He sat as he waited for further instructions from the teacher.

[Shute]

Shute opened his book, flipping through the pages until he reached the requested one.

[Faye]

Faye opened her book and flipped through pages until she got to page 32. Hopefully what they were learning today would be an interesting lesson.
