Quiet
Joseph loved starlight. The stars had always provided answers for him, and had seemingly always been there for him, despite any hardships he'd undergone in the past. They held the answers to many questions he'd had, though it seemed that he wasn't always able to uncover them. Yet he couldn't help but feel as though they granted him some kind of comfort through life.
This was precisely the reason that he'd picked stargazing as an activity for he and Taylor to engage in this night. Taylor had said that she'd wanted to hang out with him tonight, and so he'd asked her to come with him to this little place just outside the dim fluorescent lights shining through the windows of the school. Naturally, she'd agreed. She needed a chance to get away from it all…well, all except for Joseph. The boy had a way of making her feel calm. Not quite alone, but as though there were no outside forces to prod and poke into her personal business.
The soft grassy area was perfect, and they each settled down comfortably to look at the stars. The way they twinkled against the night sky produced a soft, gentle atmosphere, and Joseph sighed contently. He wished that he had more time to just relax like this, without the pressures of work and school to bother him, but alas, someone had to pay for the poor boy's admission. And, that someone just happened to be the poor boy himself.
"So…do you come out here often?" Taylor asked with a soft smile, drawing her knees up to her chin as she turned to look at Joseph. She hated to break the sweet silence, but it was just a bit awkward for them to just be sitting there saying nothing to one another.
Joseph didn't act as though he minded, however, and smiled back at the girl. Nodding, he replied, "Yeah…it's pretty calming out here at night, so…I come out here whenever I need to think, you know?"
Taylor smiled even broader. Joseph was just so…different from all the other guys she had dated. He was much more…sincere. He didn't say things like that just to make himself seem "deep" and intellectual. He was just Joseph, and he didn't try to be anything more. Taylor liked that.
Biting his lip, Joseph furrowed his eyebrows, as though about to say something but unsure just how to phrase it. Clearing his throat, he at last said, "Do you ever…have really weird dreams? Like, dreams that are so strange and unbelievable that no one else believes or understands them?" Joseph looked at her nervously, a little worried about just how she would reply to his question. Great, now she'd probably think he was just as weird as the dreams he often had…
Taylor smirked, tilting her head to the side as she stared back at Joseph. Shaking her head softly, she gave him an apologetic expression. "Sorry, but I can't say that I have. I…don't dream that much when I sleep," she said, laughing softly. She wasn't sure whether that was something to be happy about, or sad.
Joseph smiled back at her, an equally apologetic expression on his own face. While the Hebrew boy didn't always like the dreams he sometimes had, he couldn't imagine going without them each night. There were always there, much like the stars overhead, and while they were usually quite strange and confusing…he expected them, and they often held answers that he had to figure out the answers to.
"But…what do you mean by weird? Just what sort of things do you dream about?" Taylor asked, raising an eyebrow at the other.
Oh no, here we go… "Um…" Joseph bit his lip. "Well…once, I dreamed about the stars," he smiled briefly, gazing up at the sky. "And…a group of stars all gathered, and bowed to one star…and…that star was me." The boy squeezed his eyes shut, clenching his fists in embarrassment. If she didn't already think he was weird enough, now she probably believed him to be some crazy, self-centered, conceited…
She was touching his arm…
Joseph blinked in surprise, looking down at the hand resting on his sleeve. Letting his eyes trail up the arm that was attached to it, he met eyes with Taylor, who oddly enough was smiling at him.
"You're right….that is pretty weird," Taylor smirked, giving a little laugh. "But, hey…maybe it means something. Who knows, Joseph; one day, you could be running this place, have people actually bowing down to you and doing what you say. You could be somebody Joseph, somebody really important…" She smiled again, resting her head on his shoulder. "…I know you could."
Joseph blushed, staring down at her in genuine surprise. Wow. She…actually thought he could be something? Something important? And…she didn't think he was crazy?
Wow. Taylor was something else.
Cautiously, the boy slid and arm around the girl's shoulder, pulling her just a bit closer to him. The night was cool, and Taylor was still wearing her usual t-shirt and shorts. She would never admit it, but it was a bit chilly out here, and she certainly didn't mind having Joseph's warm arms around her.
As they stared off into the distance, each left to their own thoughts, a shooting star went overhead, it's shining-white tail arching across the sky gracefully. A wish formed on each of their tongues, but they kept them there, both of them closing their eyes for a moment as they silently pleaded the wish.
I'm not yours, and you're not mine, But we can sit and pass the time. No fighting wars, no ringing chimes, We're just feeling fine.
This is where we're supposed to be, Sitting by the broken tree, No tragedy, no poetry, Just staring at the sky…

Thank you!!! ;D I was hoping that I didn't make her too soft...I just felt like she would be a bit more "carefree" around Joseph, or something like that. xD And I felt that the song behind this("Quiet" by Lights) was perfect for them. :3

Request for the Shadowman! ;D ===
An Amusing Cup of Tea
A cup of tea, when prepared correctly, could be an excellent conversation starter, no matter how strange the two conversing seemed to be. Grell had prepared a pot of tea just the way Sebastian had once instructed him, though he would admit that it did take him a few tries to get it just right. And, his dining companion would admit that the tea was just a bit weak, but he of course wouldn't remark on it, being the gentleman that he was.
The two men, Grell Sutcliff and another individual simply known as "The Trickster", were busy chatting about something or other in Grell's room, where the shinigami had invited the other in for a little snack and perhaps some afternoon chit-chat, to which the other happily obliged. The Trickster had since used his magic to make the room appear as though it were a stately Southern veranda, perfect for sipping their tea and reclining in.
What they were conversing was rather amusing, to say the least. The conversation had quickly turned to Puck's former "master", after the Trickster had started to ask certain important questions about the man, and before long they were giggling about silly little tidbits of private gossip that Grell had been all-to-willing to share.
"And…and he-" Grell said, struggling to fight the words out through his giggles. "He asks me to iron everything. He's the most well-kept boy I've ever seen, I swear. He even wants me to iron his…." the shinigami trailed off, holding back another burst of laughter as his eyes darted towards his own lap to indicate just what article of clothing he'd been referring to.
"Really? He wants you to iron those?" The Trickster asked incredulously, unable to hold back the laugh himself. "Now that…that is amusing."
"Oh, that's not the half of it," Grell snorted, rolling his eyes. "You should see just what condition they come back in when I have to wash them. He pretends not to know anything about it, but I know enough about that boy to know that he knows exactly how that got that way!"
They each bursted forth into raucous laughter, the Trickster wiping a tear from his eye at the notion. "No, that, my friend, is amusing. Now where does he-no, no…I don't think that I'd like to know, Grell. I really don't."
The two began to laugh yet again, making each other crack up at the sight of their grins. They were so busy laughing that neither one noticed Puck walking swiftly into the room, turning about confusedly as he observed the new scenery that had been added to Grell's dorm.
"Um, Grell…is there something I should know about…" Puck narrowed his eyes slightly at the sight of the Trickster. "…going on around here?"
The two men turned towards Puck, and then back at each other, lasting about a second before losing themselves to laughter again. Puck stared at them a moment, then rolled his eyes, deciding that whatever it was that they were laughing about, he probably didn't want to know.
"Oh…oh, dear god," Grell breathed, leaning back in his chair. The Trickster did the same, shaking his head slightly at the way their conversation had so easily turned. He would have to make a reminder to himself to visit Grell for tea more often. Things tended to get much more amusing around here when that happened.

Another request from Facilier! Sorry if I really such at Facilier's character...never written about him before! But, a first time for everything, I guess. Enjoy! === A Magical Reunion "How long has it been, Trickster?" Facilier laughed, smiling heartily at the man shaking his hand. The Trickster smiled warmly in response to the Shadowman, still shaking his head in disbelief. "Far too long, boy. How have you been taking care of yourself?" Neither man could believe just how long their time apart had been, but they were both quite happy to have been reunited again. The Trickster could now see that he had been right in his assumption about Facilier being "special". The man was obviously well off, and had set a niche for himself in this here school. "Ah, I've been doing alright, I s'pose," Facilier nodded, revealing the small gap between his front teeth as he smiled. "Been up to a lot since I last saw y'all…get a good thing going here, what with my magic and all. And a course, I got my girl," the darker man laughed, turning for a minute to see Charlotte walking down the opposite hall. The Trickster turned as well, and smiled. It appeared that he'd done well in his taking care of the boy, and now…now he was a man. A strong, powerful man with a woman by his side as well. The Trickster felt a small swell of pride, but pushed it back down quickly. No, he couldn't take full credit for this boy's upbringing. He may have gotten him off to a brilliant start, but it was Facilier who had carried himself to the finish. And now, the Trickster dared to say it, he could call him his "equal". "Well, I'm glad," the Trickster said softly. "I'm very glad to hear that."

XD This is the result of sleep deprivation and a dirty mind. The only other ending I would have given this would have been to say that Puck and Clopin were actually making fun of Taylor and Bob, but...this seemed funnier. XP ===
Sweet Nothings
"Aww, Bob, don't they look so adorable?" Taylor said, covering her mouth with her hand to try and hide the smile that slowly began to creep over her face. She absolutely hated having this sort of reaction to anything, but there were times when the girl couldn't help herself. Like right now, as she and her pink-maned companion were sneaking a peak at Puck and Clopin from across the cafeteria.
Bob whinnied in response, returning the girl's covered grin. "I agree, y'all. They do look pretty cute together. Now, where's y'all's lover boy at, anyway?" The unicorn tilted his head to the side, looking at Taylor with a teasing grin.
Taylor rolled her eyes, lightly slapping Bob's side at the jest. "Oh, shut up. Even if Joseph was my lover boy, which he's NOT, I don't think that we'd ever do anything like that," Taylor said, almost giving a little sigh as she spoke.
"Whatever y'all say, Taylor," Bob said, suppressing a little giggle with his pink hoof. Turning back to face the two boys, who just happened to be Clopin and Puck, at their place in the cafeteria. Clopin was sitting at one of the tables, absentmindedly reading a book while Puck was standing beside him, smirking about something as he spoke quietly into the gypsy's ear. Giving another smile at the sight, Bob turned back to face Taylor, who seemed to be looking just a bit sad for some reason or another. Feeling sorry for the girl, Bob nuzzled her side comfortingly, making her give a predictable half-smile.
"What do y'all think they're discussing about over there?" Bob asked, trying to keep the girl's spirits up. Taylor rested her arm on Bob comfortably, supporting her head with the side of her hand in a familiar and much assumed position. Thinking the question over for a second, she shrugged nonchalantly.
"Oh, just little sweet things, I guess. You know, that stupid crap that makes everybody melt into little sap-pools of lovey-dovey…goo, or something," Taylor snorted, rolling her eyes playfully. Bob gave a snort of his own, shaking his mane in amusement. Based on that last response, Lifetime movies were not a good idea for Taylor.
===
"And then what would you do, mon amour?" Clopin smirked, not looking up from his book as Puck continued to whisper in his ear. Unbeknownst to the two assassins across the room, the two trickster were engaged in a much less innocent conversation than Bob or Taylor had imagined.
Puck narrowed his eyes, giving the gypsy a sly grin as he leaned over him. One hand was placed behind the gypsy's back, the other on his hip he stood beside the boy. Thinking to himself for a moment, he at last replied, "Why, then I'd just have to be 'creative', then, wouldn't I love?"
Clopin smiled at that, still staring at his book in a teasingly coy way. Not that he was even paying attention to the worded print; he'd already forgotten what he'd been reading due to Puck's whispering. Clearing his throat, he leaned a bit closer to the fae, his back touching the other's arm comfortably. Snapping his book shut, he looked up at Puck with amusement. "Now, suppose that I decided to play nice and take up that offer of yours; how would I know just whether or not I'd be in for a fun time? For all I know, I might not be pleased by you at all. I think you'll have to be more specific in your descriptions, Puck."
Puck raised an eyebrow, pausing for a moment. At last, after having apparently thought of something, the boy leaned closer to Clopin's ear, gently running his tongue over the edge as he whispered just what he intended to do to the gypsy when they were alone. Clopin's grinned stretched wider, his eyes widening ever so slightly at his lover's accurate predictions for the amount of fun they were about to have. Suppressing a slight shiver, the gypsy pulled the other boy closer by the collar a moment, planting a passionate kiss on his lips quickly.
"I love you," he whispered.
"I love you, too," Puck whispered back, a happiness to his tone as he pulled the gypsy along with him out of the cafeteria. They walked, hand-in-hand out the door, passing Taylor and Bob with a small wave as they headed towards one of the boy's dorms. The two assassins stared after them for a moment, smiling slightly when they saw the two exchange another quick kiss.
"Adorable," Taylor repeated, giggling to herself. "Extremely adorable."
